The new Arena Mode challenges you to survive against endless waves of increasingly skilled opponents. Each enemy fights with purpose—defending, countering, and maintaining distance like a real swordsman. You’ll have to rely on timing, precision, and genuine technique to win. There are no easy exploits here—cheap tricks won’t save you.
Unlike most physics-based sandboxes, Blade Impact focuses on delivering the feeling of real sword combat. Enemies protect themselves intelligently, react to your movements, and punish reckless attacks. You’ll need to aim precisely for valid target areas—head and torso—to land a clean hit and send your opponent flying.
For variety, the original Story Mode and Custom Match are still available—battle six distinct AI duelists or create your own perfect fight setup.
With sleek visuals, lightning-fast pacing, and zero downtime, Blade Impact delivers pure intensity and authentic sword-fighting action like nothing else in VR.

I really liked it, it was a good swordplay game. I had a hard time at first, I kept dying, but the developer gave me some help and since then I've just loved it. Both the game and the developer deserve 5 stars. I recommend it to those who just want to fight a good opponent and don't want a story, just the beauty of the sport.

Really love the strategy with the swordplay but sometimes myself or my opponent will get too close to the edge and fall off which immediately ends an engaging exchange. What do you think about a player option to score points by legitimate hits only and remove the ability to fall off?

I love this game and I can see the fencing fundamentals there more than any other sword game I've played, I do believe it may not be challenging for mid to high level fencers, also I'd love to see it have a mixed reality mode where you can use real life motion to do your footwork, looking forward to future updates especially mixed reality.

Everything is present, but it's rough around the edges. Early Access. Concept is perfect. This is exactly what I'm looking for. I get bored with other sword games because there's no battle. I get a battle in this game. My current problem (let me know if I'm just missing something) is that I don't feel like I'm fighting an equal. I can't attack first and I feel like I take more knockback. It feels most fair at "Unbeatable" level. Style is pretty alright, but not all menus are finished. I'm curious to see the final design. It's also missing a detailed tutorial, some additional settings, and again, polish. It's continued development, and I'm happy to be along for the ride.

This game is a thousand times better and more realistic than Broken Edge. Right now the most popular fencing game in VR is Broken Edge. It plays very similar to this one except it has a bit more to it, and a lot of what it has compared to Blade Impact is what knocks itself down a bunch of pegs. One, Broken edge has a lot of special attacks that you could pull off, but all of them are difficult to remember, so I don’t bother even trying to learn them. Two, Broken Edge is so slow it’s not even funny. Both you and your opponent are automatically pulled together at a snails pace, it’s actually draining of my patience. Three, some of the modes where you gotta break the opponents sword is difficult and doesn’t make a lick of sense as to why you can’t just try to strike the opponent’s body right off the bat. If there’s anyone out there who feels the same way about broken edge, I have great news! Blade Impact ELIMINATES all of those issues I had with Broken Edge, and also has gameplay that goes at Mach 5! HERE’S WHERE THE REAL REVIEW BEGINS!!! I will admit that the game not really having a tutorial can make the learning curve a bit much, but the gameplay is basic enough as it is. You just need to strike the opponent as soon as you see an opening. There’s no physics based combat like Blade and Sorcery, there’s no rhythm based combat like Until You Fall, and there isn’t even any RPG elements or any “flick your wrists a million times to kill the boss” like in Sairento VR. This game’s combat just gets STRAIGHT to the point and I love it for that. All of the enemies are frantic and prone to reaction. There’s no sugar coating to any of this. Also the enemy’s sword FOLLOWS YOUR SWORD MOVEMENT AND COPIES IT TO DEFEND AGAINST YOU! THAT’S BEYOND COOL For the things that you probably won’t know about unless you experiment with the controls, you can move around with the joystick, albeit very slowly, there’s some teleport thing you can do with the other joystick I THINK, but I could be wrong because I tried it but it didn’t work, and you can also use the grip triggers to pull yourself closer to the enemy. I will say this right now, my only complaint I have with this game is the ‘pull the air’ movement ability… It is broken, and can be easily cheesed against the enemy AI. I’m not sure if it’s intended to be like that so your pose when striking feels immersive, but it’s easily exploitable and I could easily use it to cheese the final boss in the story mode. I’m not sure if we really NEED to patch it, or if we just have the ability to turn it off in the settings, or if we just have it disabled when multiplayer becomes available. Regardless if it’s left the way it is, or if it gets patched, I will not complain, because ultimately it’s also fun to use because it also forces you to do a pose when you want to land a blow on the enemy, so it’s SORT OF IMMERSIVE AND BROKEN AT THE SAME TIME. I hope this game gets out of early access soon, and I hope that this becomes the next big sword game in vr because I could see a lot of people enjoying the game, I could see a lot of rage baiting happening in multiplayer and all around this is the most fast paced sword game out there in vr.
