Great game but too many glitches

Update: The developers reached out for more information so I sent an email going into detail of everything we encountered during our game play. They said they resolved some issues and are looking into others. I'm changing my review to 5 stars, regardless of the issues that we encountered, due to the way the developers handled everything. Plus, regardless of the glitching, the game is pretty amazing. ____________________________________________ My friend and I wanted to play something together on VR that isn't Beat Saber or a shooting game and came across this gem. The game is longer than most VR games I've played recently and is challenging enough to keep our attention for hours at a time. I truly wish there were more games like this on VR. That being said.... There are times where the blocks that the reaper moves around start glitching out to the point where it makes the levels nearly impossible to beat. The reaper puts down a block and Carly jumps onto it and the block goes flying across the level or she jumps onto them and they continuously shake until they eventually fall. The other issue we have found is in some levels, the glowing balls that need to be collected are not viewed the same between each of us. For one of us, we see the balls moving, the other one doesn't and they are staying still in one place, sometimes in a place that is unreachable to Carly. Also, sometimes my wrist counter will say that I have collected all the balls but my friend's says we didn't collect them all or vise versa. These small glitches can be a bit frustrating especially when one of us shows that we have done everything to complete a level but the other doesn't, so we can't progress and have to start a level over. If those issues were fixed, this would definitely get a 5 star rating from me. We are still trying to beat the game and just try to work through the issues because it's still a ton of fun and highly recommend this.

Full review to come

I have deleted my previous review as I had audio issues but the devs have been great at looking into it and it seems to be resolved. I did get the chance to play a few levels before the issue and was loving it. I will be playing again tomorrow and will update this further with more game play information. The support I received was so quick and responsive I just wanted to get a good review up so people know that they can rely on an issues being resolved as other than my issue the game was great up to that point and I can't wait to play it again tomorrow.

Love this game, but frustrating flaws

The game itself is brilliant. Some of the levels had my hands sweating with concentration and fear of falling into the abyss. Plenty of invention in the game from evil floating fish to walls of lasers which will kill you, plus the occasional puzzle. One of my best moments in VR is when I figured out how to climb to the top of a level to reach a firefly which I had genuinely thought was impossible. However, the thing that really frustrated is that I've found myself playing the same levels almost continuously. I got caught in one loop where I'd play the levels to the end and keep going back to the first one of the loop. After emailing the devs it was explained that you could get out of the loop by not completing one of the levels- though your natural inclination is to progress by finishing it - but by going through a door within the level. Just as frustrating is that in Firefly Alley there are a number of doors. And if you go through one you've already gone through - which might have been days ago - you have no option but to play the whole level again. If you wander in the wrong door there should be a way you can just back out without going through the level you've already completed. As much as I love the game I keep needlessly repeating levels and it's getting to seriously detract from what would otherwise be a five-star game. UPDATE: Received email from devs saying that a future update which will allow you to leave levels you've already completed. And visual cues to tell which is the next door to go through. When then happens it will easily be one of the best games on the Quest.

Great game IF...

I enjoyed the game very much since I've played with my 8 years old daughter. She had a great time playing at the PC while I played the ripper. I don't see myself playing this game solo though. Yeah, the game is immersive but so is many others. I think the great feature about this game is being able to bond with someone while working together on puzzles, specially since co- op game options out there are not that great. Don't get me wrong, I highly recommend this game, I just think you'd enjoy waaaaayy better if you had a partner.

Different!

Not like any other quest game I’ve played. You control both characters on single player. Great game so far.
