Cozy Pool

Cozy Pool is billiards in virtual reality, set in a warm winter lodge made for slow evenings and good shots.

REAL POOL PHYSICS A full-size table with sixteen balls, cushions that bounce true and pockets the balls really drop into. Hold the cue in your right hand and push it through the cue ball. Put your left hand out in front as a bridge, and pull the left trigger to lock your aim for a dead-straight stroke. Hit low for draw, high for follow, off-centre for side spin. A guide line shows where the balls will go.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

• Practice: rack them up and play at your own pace
• 8-Ball: two players, pass the headset, full rules with fouls and ball in hand
• Speed Pool: sink all fifteen against the clock and beat your best time

A LODGE TO HANG OUT IN A stone fireplace crackles at the end of the table. Snow drifts past tall windows with mountain views. Timber beams, a wall of books, leather armchairs by the fire, a dartboard and a clock on the wall. Walk through the glass sliding doors into a TV lounge with a couch, a coffee table and popcorn.

YOU ARE NEVER PLAYING ALONE Your friend hangs out by the fire. He claps when you sink a ball, cheers a big break, groans at a scratch and chats about how cozy it is in here.
