its ok

ok so I have had this game for awhile not and at first its really really fun, the graphics are really good on it and the flight physics are pretty good, my only pet pev of this game is the missions NEVER change, even when your purchase a new jet your ending up down the EXACT same missions all over again only with a different plane and it gets very repetitive and boring after while, tonight I decided to uninstall the game as doing the same missions over and over and over and over again it just getting to boring for me now, until they can add some new content in this game im kinda done with it for now, its not worth paying full price for, wait till it goes on sale if you want to get it

Great Flight and Visuals

As someone who owns all the VR compatible flight sims on all VR platforms I heard how this was amazing for standalone so decided to try it for myself. As soon as I went into the game I played a few training levels and thought to myself this does look very good for standalone, I have never came across a detailed cockpit like it in standalone, reminded me of IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad quality on PC VR, with only the starter plane seat texture and pedals being low res (most likely a bug). I then came across the display and graphics setting menus, I was like a kid in candy store, I immediately turned everything up on both menus and fps down to 60fps as I knew something had to give. As an old VR veteran when headsets on the market were 60fps this was perfect for me and the game looks and plays astounding, in there for the best looking Quest game, sharp in clarity with long view distances with hundred of trees, I began to forget I was in the Quest until the battery alert appeared. What an excellent and very sim move by the talented devs having the graphics and display options. Please never remove these as people like me will very much appreciate them. The game as it is seems like it has plenty of content although I can't work out how people have 20 hours in the leaderboard with the starter plane as there are only 7 missions for that one, most have over 27 or so. Do they just fly around in free mode? Anyway excellent game, excellent visuals, audio, when opening the canopy the outside effects get louder and the voices when switching systems were great, controls feel great and exciting to use. Having only played the game for 2 hours I did crash once into a balloon and it went into third person. If this is how it is for all types of crashes I would like an option to be in the cockpit plummeting or exploding to my doom and perhaps an exciting ejector seat and parachute ride if there is time to make an escape (not sure how realistic that would be for certain planes?).

Good but difficult

This game is great. Graphics look good, sounds are amazing, and zero glitches. What a relief. Its definitely a simulatior, so of you are looking for more of an arcade experience you may get frustrated. I guess its a blend of simulatior/arcade but definitely leans towards sim. I highly recommend.

Not without it's charm

This is a fun game if you like flight Sims and want something you can jump into quickly without having to get through the hoops of VR setups on your PC. The flight physics leave a bit to be desired, particularly at slow flight. There is no stalling or trick maneuvering. I've even had points where I had the aircraft flying backwards and even sideways. Made for a good laugh. I'd still recommend it. It's fun.

Outstanding

Dawn of Jets VR isn’t just a great flight combat game it’s one of the best communities you’ll find in VR. From the moment you jump into multiplayer, you’re welcomed by an incredibly friendly, passionate, and helpful player base. New pilots are guided, veterans squad up without ego, and matches feel more like organised dogfights with friends than chaotic lobbies. Voice chat is full of callouts, banter, and genuine teamwork, which makes every session memorable and keeps you coming back for “just one more match.” What truly sets Dawn of Jets VR apart, though, is how hands-on and approachable the development team is. The devs are actively involved with the community, listening to feedback, flying alongside players, and constantly improving the game. You can feel that this is a passion project updates are meaningful, communication is clear, and player suggestions actually matter. On the gameplay side, the flight mechanics are outstanding. The controls strike a perfect balance between realism and accessibility, making dogfights intense without being overwhelming. Each aircraft feels distinct, responsive, and powerful, and mastering different planes is genuinely rewarding. Whether you’re pulling tight turns, lining up a perfect shot, or narrowly escaping an enemy tail, the combat feels thrilling and skill-based. Visually, Dawn of Jets VR looks fantastic. The planes are beautifully detailed, environments are crisp and immersive, and the sense of speed and altitude in VR is excellent. Explosions, tracer fire, and sky battles all come together to create a convincing and adrenaline-fueled aerial experience. Dawn of Jets VR delivers top-tier VR dogfighting, but its real strength lies in its amazing multiplayer community and developer support. If you’re looking for a VR game where skill, teamwork, and passion shine and where the devs truly care this is an absolute must-play. ✈️🔥 My call sign - iceman
