In Descent Alps, skiing is controlled by moving the whole body. You shift your body weight and lean into the curve. You hunch down to carve the skies and make quick turns.

Descent Alps have been available for one year in various pre-release versions. The game has been downloaded close to 100k times and the slopes have been worn down by pre-release skiers. All feedback and knowledge gathered during the first year of Descent Alps have evolved the game into its first full release. The core remains the same, but the experience has been refined and is now faster, better, bigger, and easier accessible!

My tips for the devs

After playing the game, I have some constructive criticism, and before I do I just wanna say, I know it’s in beta. But knowing this, before it’s released, here are some cool things you guys could add. First off, the setting/multiplayer. I don’t know what you guys have in mind for multiplayer, but I think it’d be cool if there was a lodge where you could hang out with your friends. Also a way to go back to the main menu without finishing the coarse. Another good feature would be a slope difficulty rating system. Another cool feature would be if when you crouch, you go faster.

So sooooo good

This is an absolute gem of a game. The way you control the turns, the speed and the soundtrack Combine to create one of the most unique and best experiences on the quest. Can't wait for even more awesome levels, would love a day and night mode too.

Big surprise

Well, I’d assumed this would be low res, low quality experience. But was free so had a go. The mechanics are amazing and I absolutely love it. What a great piece of work, keep it up devs. Will definitely purchase the full version. Obviously multiplayer would be great too. You really do have a sense of skiing and I got no motion sickness which I can do with some games. As mentioned by other reviewers- the great soundtrack kicks in and you start cruising. Fantastic.

Awesome, relaxing experience!

This is one of the first VR experiences that actually feels like the real experience. It’s very relaxing to be able to ski down the slopes listening to some good music. Also get a good left workout in if you really get into it!
