Worst experience

I have had the worst experience with this one. You think you're getting an app to connect you to your computer, but that's not it. After you pay the initial app price that would cover just a platform to access other apps, then if you want to purchase the actual Link you have to pay more, which is a bit of a trickery. Not to mention its not launching other apps, more like Web browser shortcuts to stuff like YouTube, social platforms, etc. A collection of your favourites if you will. Second, got the Link on my computer but every bloody time I wanted to use it, on VR it would open a list of instructions about how to install their Link which was already installed. On the Fluid app on my computer it kept toggling between app not connected, app doesn't control your laptop. After I gave up trying and wanted to contact customer support, in VR it opens a big 404 page not found error and on my computer it opens a pop-up that says we need to check if you're not a robot that keeps spinning forever and never displays anything else but text and the loading icon. Not to mention it's literally frozen my computer as well for ages. And before you say it, I did add it to allowed apps to my firewall and restarted both my headset and my computer after installation. Really wanted this to work, coz I tried other apps which were quite buggy, but in the end at least they worked. Was willing to pay the extra as well, but for now nothing worked for me so will leave it at 1 star until sorted, if ever.

God awful. Wish I hadn't have bothered.

I thought this app looked pretty good on a ad I saw so paid the 7.99 to purchase it. The OS is so glitchy and so arkward to use, the screen is too far away and the keyboard seems to have a life of its own. I struggled not only to see the boxes to log in but after multiple times trying with the correct sign in details on multiple platforms I was only able to sign in to one, which then wouldn't work anyways. Don't waste your money and if I knew how I would be asking for a refund too.

Lots going for it, lots holding it back

I was super interested in this apps offerings but the more I dig around the more I question if it’s worth it. For a $20 application I expect there to be maybe some minor micro transactions but there’s so many fees getting in the way of what feels like what should be basic functionality. The Cast function was one of my main reasons for picking this app up, I saw it advertised on their YouTube channel. Sadly once booting up the app and playing around, this core feature and what I considered a main selling point is locked behind a $10/month subscription. Also paying $10-$15 per additional space OR $10/month feels like asking a lot from an already $20 app. In its current state I’m not sure I can fully recommend. I do think the devs are on to something but there feels like a major issue with monetization at this point in time.

Best browser / virtual screens app yet

Before I discovered Fluid, I tried apps like immersed, vSpatial, bigscreen and others and none gave me the browsing, streaming and multiple screens app I wanted. I'd come to the conclusion that my Quest 3 was just going to be a VR game console and not a tool for me. Fluid is now shaping up to be most of the tool set I was hoping for when I origanally bought my Quest 3.

Good start but not the best.

I tried bigscreens, meta workspace, immersed, and Fluid, the fluid idea is good but still not performing well, limitation of open browsing windows, fluid link crash from time to another, glitch in rendering. Immersed still better for me although sharing desktop app as a full window is a great idea and feature. Also after buying fluid I found that I have to buy fluid link to unlock desktop sharing for more than 15min, I didn't not like that!.
