Would give this 5 but for 1 serious flaw

I bought this app to compliment my Logitec MX Ink pen and it works great with it. I actually think for sketching that Gesture VR is a really good app. HOWEVER...... there is a serious flaw in the app which basically renders the app in my opinion useless!! I don't like to give a bad rating but I have to reiterate what some other users have pointed out (several months ago) that after so long sketching on a sheet, you find that you suddenly can't draw or edit the sheet anymore. You can add another sheet to your board and draw/edit away again but when you go back to the sheet you were sketching on it doesn't allow you to draw anymore (even when you reload the app). This is incredibly frustrating as on 3 occasions when I have been drawing a portrait for a fair length of time I suddenly can't sketch any more. I'm amazed the devs haven't fixed this or even answered the previous reviews which point out the same problem. Therefore, until I hear of a patch that fixes this, I simply won't be using it because what is the point because you can't finish any drawings!!! I basically feel that I've wasted my money (unless it's fixed of course). I therefore could not recommend this app to anyone at the moment because even though it is very good you cannot finish any drawings rendering the app in my opinion a waste of effort and time. I will of course change my review and give it 5 stars if the Devs can please, please - please fix it. Thanks!

Fantastic app!

I've been following the development of this app for a long time and seeing it finally get published is amazing. My favorite feature is the pass-through function where you can draw on real paper while seeing the model in VR. It's really like being back in the live model studio, with the added functionality of being able to rotate the model and adjust the lighting to right where you want it (while being at home)! It runs great too All in all I love this app and hope they can get funded to add more models in!

Can’t believe it!

I found this app in my search for something else. I’ve searched for “art” and “paint”. I couldn’t believe it when this popped up in my search last night. It’s very well done. You can remove the boxes around the mammalian appendages (review censor) in settings. It’s a censor option although I don’t know what kids haven’t been exposed to them, especially maternal ones. The sketching is very smooth. You can quickly change pages. There is a timer so that the pose change at the time indicated. There are 200 poses. I found the brush size change via the right joystick. It increases and decreases brush size . I was expecting different circles but this is much better. Really elegant and well thought out. Well worth going through the tutorial. Bravo!

Amost perfect!

This is quite an amazing app and it's rekindled my love of sketching. One glaring flaw though...... Seems there's no way to share the drawings. The camera function takes a pic, but the images just disappear into the ether. And the save function drops the files into a folder that's inaccessible. If the Devs are reading this, please offer a simple solution and I'll give the app 6 stars 😁

An amazing art tool!

[edit] I lowered my score from 5 to 3 because the program has changed. The number and quality of the models has decreased. The software I bought was amazing and while some of the technical parts have improved- there’s no denying the attractiveness of the models has been very harshly degreased. And they have underwear on that in many instances is very distracting to the gesture line. (On the other side of that though- the hair has been put in caps so that is actually better so… that’s a positive change, it’s just not enough to fully counter the underwear),I can’t say this is as good as the product I bought- enough to lower the score by 2 stars. My hope is we will see this get a full release and then the licenses that were lost due to… whatever- are released and we get the high quality “run to class because you can’t wait to draw” models back. This is like being back in art school! The control over the lights is what makes it just a little bit better. If you’ve ever tried working from 2D shots and found them lacking… a lot- this is a dream come true. The scans are incredible and I’m on a Q2! This is a must for anybody who loves figure drawing and gesture exercises. It’s so easy to recommend. All o can say is bring us more! More studios, more models and more poses! This is just wonderful and I could spend hours working in Gesture VR!
