this has NOTHING in common with GB

The game is even worse than the trailer suggested. As a Ghostbusters fan from the beginning, I am very disappointed. I had hoped to finally experience how it is to do the job. But what is delivered here for a lot of money is a disgrace and probably only so expensive because of the license costs. It can't have been due to the effort of implementation or even the attention to detail, both are non-existent. The equipment used has absolutely nothing in common with Ghostbusters, the comic style is ridiculous and the missing story mode and the completely inappropriate MR mode are an indictment. Not even the sounds of the devices are real, except for the PKE meter. "Ghostbusters - The Video Game" or "Ghostbusters - Spirits unleashed" should have been given a VR version. That's what fans wanted. I quit after just 30 minutes and requested a refund. It's a shame about the time, I should have rather watched an episode of the "Real Ghostbusters", I can almost speak all of them, but that would have been more entertaining.

Never played something so boring and bad

As huge Ghostbusters fans, my friends and I were really looking forward to this game. We were massively disappointed. The “campaign” was over in just an hour. After that, all that’s left are repetitive missions with the same boring gameplay. The art style is okay—subjective taste—but the game is clearly made for kids. The characters are extremely woke, and the sound and gadgets don’t look anything like they do in the movies. Honestly, this game is a pure cash grab, probably just to keep the license. There’s no love put into it, you don’t even see the Ecto-1 in motion, and the storytelling is so dull it puts you to sleep. The three of us all wish we could request a refund. Biggest disappointment on the Quest so far.

Terrible game

I played this game 2 hours and seriously its limted as can be . Might as well be a nintendo 16 bit game Repetitive game play annoying. Cant even drive the car. You're basically paying dan aykroyds salary for being a part of the game dialogue. for 30 dollars I played 2 hours in less than a week and was denied a refund. Ghostbusters was my favorite movie this game made me no longer enjoy it.

Bad graphic..low poly and aliasing

My first impressions! I played some missions.. The game dynamic is nice in co-op but absolutely bad graphic! Flickering aliasing.. And very low poly graphic! I didn't expect to find this low level of graphic! Even a Quest 2 can manage higher levels... Even more a Quest 3! Textures are too low resolution. I hope you will release a patch improving it or maybe a Quest 3 version! We compared textures and models with PS5 version and it's much better! Why you didn't release a PCVR version? My vote is 6 and half

We came, we saw, we...

Absolutely love this game! Critically speaking I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5 as it does have some issues which I'll outline below, but from a fun factor and nostalgia perspective it's an absolutely 5 out of 5, which I've rated it. My 11 year old daughter fell in love with Ghostbusters when she was 6 or 7, and myself as a lifelong fan quickly found myself obtaining jumpsuits and proton packs and we've gone as Ghostbusters the last 4 Halloweens in a row. On to the game... what can I say? It's great. It captures most of the feeling of the PS3 game, despite the animated/cell-shaded structure. The story is thin, at least what I've explored thus far, with the rest of the game containing the same 6 options in 6 or so different maps. Wrangling ghosts and stuffing them into traps is a blast. We have spent more time busting ghosts together than any other Quest game. Now, on to my few gripes. Since I've seen some dev response on other Meta reviews here, I sincerely hope they see this review at some point. My biggest gripe by far is the fact that that sound effects on the particle thrower are almost non-existent. The volume is SO LOW and completely drowned out by everything else. It's so disappointing since the proton beam should be the loudest thing, but instead you can barely hear it. I've toggled every volume option trying to adjust it and make it louder and it just doesn't work. Please please please make the thrower it's own volume slider in the settings so I can turn everything else down. My second issue is that the '84 wand, the only one I use, it's too small in your hands. It needs a 20% increase in size. It's also a shame that both wands don't connect to a hose and are free floating. It seems that should be a pretty easy correction in an update. I also discovered just today that the main game wand has additional upgrades that the '84 wand doesn't have, which is weird. I'm out of space...would LOVE to submit more to the Devs! THANK YOU for making this game!!
