Great game but one problem

I really love classed based shooters so when I heard about this game and was super excited. Then it's launch really sucked and I didn't buy it. But over time I heard more people say they fixed a lot of things so I bought it. Holy crap I love this game! I've been grinding I ever since and ran into 1 issue, there's not much people In lobbys. When you que for a match you join pretty instantly. I thought that was awesome but then there was only bots in all my games I've barley found any people in this game but when I do they're really nice and cool people. I hate playing only with bots with is annoying. So I think they make the que longer to make sure there's at least 6 real people on each team, 3 on one, 3 on the other. This would make this game way better. I really love this game so if they fixed this one problem in my opinion this game could be a masterpiece.

This is game is so good

This game is fantastic, but the price tag is definitely the downfall of the player base. This game still plays very well and it has awesome heros and abilities. But as the player count decrease it's very hard to convince people to purchase a $30 game. If they drop the price tag to $10 or even make it free I truly feel that would save this AMAZING game!

Great title, but isn't supported by devs

The game was really fun when it launched, but the game is kinda dead at this point. The last update was over a year ago at the time of writing, and it's been even longer since they dropped a new hero. They released ONE new hero and map, post launch, none were released after that, in full. A few new maps were released, but they weren't complete. When I have gone back to it, I've had fun for a little while, but I end up playing with the same people the whole time because so few people are online at once. I really wish the devs had continued supporting this game long-term post launch, but that didn't happen, and it has sort of ruined what was a really fun game when it launched. For $30, at this point, it's not worth buying. I would love to see the devs drop a huge update and bring this game back, but I don't have high hopes.

Hero Shooter With Potential to be Great.

From the start, Larcenauts has a great foundation that can be built upon for the future. Right now, there are only a small amount of maps and characters, far less than what is in other games in the genre. Also I don't get locking the characters from the start. If it was a F2P game, I can understand having players work for more, like in Paladins, but this is a PAID product. They should ALL be unlocked from the beginning. The gameplay itself is quite fast paced and runs fairly well. I have noticed it starts to get choppy after some time without a break. Gun play feels good in terms of aiming and shooting. There are complaints about the reloading being an animation instead of manual like most other shooters in VR. I don't mind it personally, but they will be updating the game to include manual reloads. Overall, it's a good start, but a rocky one currently. I can see the huge potential this game has and I have faith in the developers for this. But it'll take time. This is pretty much an early access game for $30, so take all this with a grain of salt. I'm enjoying my time with it so far, but I can see the shortcomings. For now, it is a recommend, but with a major disclaimer. The game still has a lot of work to do, so consider this before buying. Your mileage may vary.

Player base

Great game. Great variety of classes. Sadly, it seems that the player base is dying out. Played with a lot of bots recently. Maybe it might be a clever move to go free to play to revive it.
