Lavrynthos places you at the heart of the labyrinth of Crete to tell you the story of the unlikely relationship between the Minotaur and his next meal: a girl named Cora.

A contemporary Greek tragedy paying homage to the cradle of modern dramatic theory while challenging it at the same time. Lavrynthos is a humorous take on a 3000-year-old myth updating it with themes and topics that are relevant in this day and age.

The narrative makes use of an innovative way of moving the player throughout the story by transforming a 2x2m area into an infinite non-euclidean maze that can shift space and time.

Lavrynthos messes up with your sense of direction, space, and balance and can make you get lost inside your own bedroom!

Created with support of the Venice Biennale College, Lavrythos premiered at Venice Film Festival and in 2022 won the Stereopsia Crystal Owl Award for Best Creative Experience.

Truely Beautiful

I love story-telling and impossible spaces and this gem combines both in a truely magnificent way. Following along the story by walking through the labyrinth yourself, seeing it from varying and surprising perspectives makes the time fly really fast in this short but impactful experience. There are no interactions but the transitions between the zones and the whole atmosphere are really well crafted. I can only recommend to download it.

Beautiful! Funny! Loved it!

This is the kind of experience I can never get enough of. Sweet, funny, and meta moments are sprinkled throughout the story. I highly recommend Labyrinth!

Amazing, educational, funny, engaging

Lavrynthos is an amazing game! Seriously, I had a blast playing it. While it’s a bit short—about 30 minutes to complete—it left a great impression on me. It’s a labyrinth-style game, similar to others I’ve played, but the design and execution here are top-notch. I also loved that you occasionally need to crawl, which adds an extra layer of immersion. The story is pretty engaging too, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, despite its brevity, it's definitely worth a play!

Allow yourself to get lost!

Lavrynthos brings us a beautiful story, unfold as we try to make our way out of an impressive maze. It has become one of my favorite VR experiences ever! The story is so fun and cute and yet deep and meaningful. If your play area is bigger than 2x2 you won't need artificial locomotion, it is soo cool to be able to wander through a maze! I would also recommend you to use your body, crouch and walk through the maze, if you can. Allow yourself to get lost, it will be a unique experience!
