Don't buy. Serious bugs / flaws

There are NO usable subtitles when they are encoded in the movie. Subtitles will only display in one eye making them unreadable. Can't change the size or position, or even turn them off. No history, no bookmarks and Player doesn't resume where you left off with Web Dav. Can't sort by size, or change the font (about 3/4 of title is missing). No schedule for when problems will be fixed.

Best media player on meta appstore

I felt I paid less for so Many features which this app offers really and the major thing is the quality of the textures and the pass through mode is so amazing and immersive and I wish to see the ambient lighting effect like photon app like seeing content with almost no boundaries literally. Love this moon vr player❤️

Best affordable media player so far

This is the best alternative to Virtual desktop. Its not perfect but it has great potential. I had issues with playing 8k video on VD but moon player plays any video I throw at it. 4XVR and HereSphere are way too overpriced for what they offer. This almost solved every issue I had with VD all at once. Only issue I have is I wished the format detection worked better so switching between flat video and VR videos were more seamless

Great for external media

I really only care about a couple things when it comes to media players for the Quest. Can it connect to external storage to play videos? Check. Does it offer a lot of flexibility when it comes to changing the way videos are viewed (zoom, fisheye, 3d, etc) Check. Does it deserve five full stars? Not quite but since I can't give it 4.5, I'll give the developers the benefit of the doubt that they will get around to adding features or fixing problems. It certainly doesn't fail to play the video files or just buffer endlessly like one of the bigger media players on here seems to do more often than not these days. My only real complaint is not having more options for sorting by date, size of file, length of video, etc.

Great update! More environments please!

Just checked out Moon Player after having purchased the Web Browser DLC- and wow! It definitely adds more usability to the app! I can definitely see myself utilizing Moon Player more now that I can use YouTube, Plex, Tubi, etc.. I just have a few things I wish that could be updated. First off I noticed that the clock in the Penthouse can only be on military time- it’d be great if we could get an AM/PM option since that’s what I’m more used to. Secondly, I wish there were more locations to sit, or I wish I could freely roam around the spaces. I like to change my position often, and it looks like there’s a lot of different places to sit in the Penthouse (bean bag, bed, etc.) but I can’t figure out if/how I can change my viewing position beyond what’s available in the options (downstairs/upstairs). Lastly, I just wish there were more environments/customization options in general! I’d gladly pay for more environments, since that’s one of the features I’m most interested in beyond the main viewing features. I’m going to look into getting Moon Portal to see how its integration affects things. Beyond all that, I find Moon Player to be a very attractive and useful player, one that I know I’ll get more usability from after the recent update! Keep up the great work!
