Went through the process of downloading the movie twice, but it never worked after being downloaded.

A trick to get it to work!
I have discovered how to get this broken app to work. After installing the app and downloading the 1.8gb data file (wait for it...), do not open it! If you do the data will delete again. Immediately exit and download a file browser (such as Cx File Explorer) and navigate to /Android/data/com.deepinc.arte360gearvr/files/downloads/id00001. You will notice the downloaded mp4 file has a weird name. Rename it to get rid of the "- copy" so it ends in .mp4. Now the app will work perfectly and the data will not disappear!
