Please keep in mind that we’re a small, dedicated team of just five people, and this is only our second game ever. Over the past two years, we’ve poured our hearts and souls into crafting this adventure, and we’re aiming for a 2025 launch.
We’re not locking in an exact release date yet, our goal is to polish every detail as much as we can. Once it’s ready, we’ll announce the official release.

My first time playing this game, expectations were low. Most demos from relatively unknown developers don't have much in the way of quality. But, holy cow! I'm blown away by the sheer quantity and quality of this gameplay in this demo. Castello has really made something special here. I can't wait until the full game releases. It just jumped to the top of my list of most anticipated games!

I've been playtesting Of Lies and Rain since last year, and I was captivated by its potential even in the early stages of development. While it's labeled as a demo, it feels more like a tantalizing glimpse into what’s to come. If you enjoyed the Red Matter series, this game is definitely for you. Of Lies and Rain is a story-driven first-person shooter designed from the ground up exclusively for VR. Set in a dark, sci-fi, post-apocalyptic world (and no, it's not another zombie game), you’ll battle to reclaim your past and save humanity from the brink of extinction. The world you once knew has vanished, along with your memories. You’re guided by an unfamiliar voice, pushing you to confront the AI responsible for a devastating 20-year war that has forced humanity underground. The surface is now dominated by hostile machines and new lifeforms struggling to survive alongside you. Prepare for a journey through a dystopian narrative where nothing is as it seems, and every encounter tests your judgment of friend versus foe. As you navigate the ravaged environments, take your time to explore. Collect ammo and red cubes known as GPUs, essential for upgrading your weapons and acquiring resources. Your left wrist features a watch that tracks your GPU count and health status. The weapon grab mechanic stands out as one of the best I've seen in VR – simply press the B button to choose from your arsenal, and use the Y button to access saved health syringes. This demo offers a mere taste of the immersive experience awaiting you in the full game. The cliffhanger ending will leave you eager for more, so be sure to wishlist Of Lies and Rain. I've playtested the entire game and this is something you don't want to miss. For VR gamers seeking an engaging narrative and thrilling gameplay, Of Lies and Rain is a must-try. So pleasantly surprised, it has a metro awaking / living remain vibe to it. Two game's I loved. Great simple mechanics with that creepy metro sci-fi feeling. It's just my perfect jam, nice upgrade system easy to understand game play so far. Loving just jumping into a game head on without a long drawn out basic tutorial that seems to never end. This game let's u learn and if u have played similar games u know what to do right away. Nice job developers, I will buy the full release day one. Love these kind of games. Brillant start .

Solid game, thanks for the demo. ASW should be off by default on quest 3. The game ran much smoother after I disabled it. Enemies could be more dangerous. Not difficult.

At first I was so excited by the atmosphere, climbing, and exploration. But it got boring real fast. The story, dialogue, and voice acting are bland and cliche. "I've lost my d**n memory... Who the h**l am I?" Seriously? The simple cube-based graphics work for the environment and initially impressed me for such a small dev, but the enemies are just not scary at all. Half-Life Alyx works because it's an interesting story with top tier voice acting and genuinely scary enemies. Edit: OK, this was a bit harsh. If you've never played HLA, this is the closest we've seen so far on the Quest. It is impressive what they have accomplished and it's not fair for me to hold them to PC VR standards. Plus the dialogue is getting less annoying by the end of the demo, so there's hope. Increasing to 3 stars for now.
