The orcs are back—louder, dumber, and smellier than ever. And this time… they’re in your face. Literally!

Orcs Must Die: By The Blade brings the legendary trap-slaughter franchise into fully immersive VR. Become a War Mage and defend Stormwreck Island in an all-new story as rotten rifts unleash corrupted orcs.

Swing swords, trigger trinkets, punch orcs in the snout, and set ingenious trap chains that rocket screaming orcs across the room.

Explore epic fortresses, channel powerful magic, and experience the most up-close (and up-nose) orc-smashing action ever. Fight solo or team up in 2-PLAYER CO-OP to build traps, heal rifts, and doom the greenskin hordes with style.

Mix brutal melee with comedic chaos. Build deadly defenses. Become a legend.

Stormwreck Island won’t save itself… and the orcs aren’t going to punch themselves… Well, some might—but you should help!

Very disappointed launch

This game is very underwhelming in its current state. I like the original OMD games and was looking very forward to this one, but it is unpolished and shouldn't have released in this poor state. Here are some of my pain points: - Combat is not very enjoyable, slashes phase through the enemies or you get completely body blocked. - Only snap-turning. There is an option for smooth turning, but you can't set it for now (says coming soon), the fact that it didn't launch with something so important is completely beyond me. - Audio bugs, try listening to the orcs and you often hear them cut off or general sounds sound like plastic. It sounds really cheap. - The inventory/holster is a pain, whenever your hand is remotely in front of your stomach/chest it gets triggered which causes tons of issues when fighting (failed to use the healing trinket several times because of this bs). - Why durability on weapons and why make them drain so quickly, too? It is really annoying having to run back and forth to a whetstone while a million orcs swarm a stupid chest. - Talking about chests, this needs to be addressed as well, it is so stupid that the orcs only focus the chest and ignore the player, no way to kite them away or anything. - Multiplayer not working, tried joining a friend and he tried joining me. Maybe servers are having problems, no idea. There was probably more which I can't recall right now. I would highly recommend waiting for this game to receive substantial updates before even consider buying it. I'll reconsider updating my review in the future, but this is basically an early access release right now.

ORChestrated carnage!

Orcs must die is a long running franchise that I had never actually come across until now. After a bit of research I soon realised that it was a tower defense style series where you lay traps to stop the onslaught of Orcs destroying the town. This is the first venture for the series into VR and puts more emphasis on hand-to-hand combat, along with the traps. I've yet to complete the game but I have been enjoying what I've played so far, and ultimately that's what gaming should be right? Fun! For single player there's plenty of content to keep you hacking and slashing away for hours but the fun is more than doubled when you bring a friend along for the journey! There are a few niggling issues here and there at the moment BUT I have 100% faith in Teravision Games to address these and support the future of the game. They aren't the kind of Devs that just want to cash in and move on! Oh and it's at a very competitive price to boot! Give the game a chance and leave the Orcs no chance but to DIE BY THE BLADE!!! 😁✌️☮️❤️

Good game and great update thx :D

I’d like to update my previous review following the recent patch. First of all, thank you for continuing to work on the game. You have my full support 🙂 The game isn’t perfect yet, especially when it comes to combat. Sometimes hits still don’t properly register on enemies, which can be frustrating (I’ve lost several runs because of that). But you are clearly working on it and you’ve shown that you’re aware the system still needs improvement, which is very appreciated. Performance has also improved a lot. At first, the game was stuttering so badly on my setup that it was almost unplayable. That’s no longer the case. Aside from a few slowdowns right after loading, the game now runs smoothly and looks great. Thanks for that fix 😀 The interface is also much less intrusive during combat, which makes the overall experience much better. In my opinion, this is a good game with a really nice atmosphere. It still needs a few adjustments to make combat less frustrating, but overall, as long as the developers continue supporting and improving the game, that’s a very positive sign. Regarding weapon durability and your idea: "In the future, we plan to introduce a weapon priming system, where using a repair station grants a small buff." I think that’s a really good idea 🙂 Thanks again for the continued work and improvements. And if one day you could add a French translation, that would be amazing. Playing only in English can be a bit difficult when it’s not your native language, and it’s easy to miss some nuances.

Clunky and needs polish

I played other orcs must die games on pc years ago and I aware that it's an aracady game so I don't expect blades and sorcery level combat... But the game is not smooth and feels sluggish... Some swings at the orcs pass right through their hit boxes... and the audio of them grunting or being damaged starts to glitch out or cut out completely when swarmed with more than one orc while hitting them... And the lack of smooth turning on launch is a big weird question mark for me... Why?.... Plus the holster system is bad and I hate the fact that every time I hover over my chest for half a second the layout of the inventory appears in front of my face... During fights I would swing and it would still appear... Not enough time to place traps.... The durability system feels like a chore... I hate how fast weapons lose durability especially ones you pick up from the orcs...
