Great game! But multiplayer...

So this game is great, hockey fanatics and normal gamers will love it the same, physics are great, rink is cool, goalies function well, but as you get into multiplayer the puck de-sync is terrible, one moment you will be on a breakaway with you teammate ready for a great one timer, next the puck will goku off of your stick and to your opponent and next thing you know, in your net, so once this is fixed this will be my favorite VR game!

I have been playing this game very consistently since the day I purchased it, 3 and a half years, and over 1,200 days ago to be exact. Here’s my thoughts Pros: Sleek game control, feels good to score. Unique ways to develop your style. League makes it 100x more fun to play, most people play this game ONLY for the league. The league keeps this game alive, if this was strictly player based the game would have been a goner years ago. Con’s: Puck possession is annoying (While it is not the developers fault since the ping delay and difference / lag cannot be fixed as it is entirely dependent on the player’s internet, it still sucks. Lose Lose situation), almost impossible to become really good now due to skill gap (With consistent effort it would take a newbie months to play in the B league, and probably close to a year to compete well in the A league.) Now for some more upsetting cons, the updates are never. The last update was October 24, 2024, the last one before that was December 3rd, 2023. This review is being wrote on August 10, 2025, means that’s 2 updates in the last 616 days. The developer has been open with their experience dealing with arthritis, but i do feel like that is extremely underwhelming for only 2 content changes in nearly 2 years. There is no Voice Chat. None. There is an option for four ingame voice lines said by ai, that’s as much communication in the game as you can get. A CVAA law passed around when the game released which made it hard for indie developers to get VC. However i do feel like since it’s been nearly half a decade since release, there should have been a solution by now. I am inexperienced in the law technicality but i would like an explanation on how after this long there is still no VC. There is no goaltender mode, you are strictly a player on the ice. The goalie ai is fine, but this feature has been requested as much as VC and I don’t think much wrong has been done to add it (correct if wrong) The Community of the league has its ups and downs, and it needs to improve. The moderation is lackadaisical and very disappointing and embarrassing. It used to be very structured but it has completely fallen out of order So to wrap it up, should you buy this game? I would say yes. This is the best hockey on VR, i think it still does a great job capturing the feeling of hockey, as other games like VR Hockey Reborn are even worse when it comes to possession and lag and delay Please note though, you should join the discord server and play in the league. Makes it a lot more fun and has kept me coming back all these years.

Amazing game

This is one of the best, if not the best vr hockey game. The games are really fun but manual goalie would be really nice. I know stuff like that could take awhile to program but if you get it, it would make it a game I play every day (even though I usually play it every day). I do have an idea for an update. I think adding the microphone feature will help this game a lot. Great game!

This game changed my life

I know that's kind of a bold statement to start out with but it's the only way i can think to describe how this game really does make me feel. I don't have a local rink to skate at so this game was the first time I truly got to try hockey. It does take a little practice to get used to it, but once you are used to that you will start to really have a blast. There is a whole community dedicated to this amazing game on discord, where we also run a hockey league year round as well as ranked public matches when you have enough practice. Really fun game. But needs more

I have probably sunk hours into this game already and I love it. I have won lots of games and been losing by so much I wanted to punch a hole through my wall. Three things I really want added is A: penalties. Getting penalties for interference or cross checking will make the game more realistic. The second thing I want added is to be able to play as goalie. I know that will be tough because of no body tracking but even if you can assume because of where your head is. This is also coming from a semi- professional goalie (I played on my towns peewee team all the way till I graduated). The third Is fighting because we all want to fight without any real pain
