Strong concept, extremely poor visuals
PulseJet’s idea is excellent immersive VR music videos and concerts that explore what sound looks like is exactly the kind of creative use VR needs. Sadly, the actual content is let down by shockingly low video quality. The visuals are so low resolution that many videos are difficult to watch comfortably. Blurriness, heavy compression, and weak effects make the experience feel dated and unfinished. Any sense of immersion is lost almost immediately. The music and artist selection are decent, but the visuals fail to enhance the audio in any meaningful way. For an app focused on visualizing music, that’s a major problem. Asking users to pay extra for more content when the core experience looks this poor feels unreasonable. With major improvements to visual fidelity, performance, and polish, this could be a solid VR music app. In its current state, it’s deeply disappointing. it seems as if this has only had an single release and no further updates since its initial release in december 2024
