Patch: Early Access 2026.09.16.A

September 16, 2026

Staffing is sorted and the team is firing on all cylinders with a huge update. The VR controls have been completely revamped from scratch with a new in-house interaction system that gives us complete control. Haptics included. Phase one has converted the flight sticks and command console, with…

Patch: Early Access 2026.08.19.A

August 19, 2026

Thanks for sticking with us through a quiet July. We had some behind-the-scenes staffing to sort out, but the team is back at full throttle. Today we're handing you the keys to the Firebrand (formerly Raptor). It's a true multi-role fighter built to adapt to any scenario. Take it out and see what…

BSG Alpha

Been waiting for this game almost as long as I've had my head set. The game is obviously very alpha at the moment with just enough to get a feeling for the combat and mechanics. The graphics are spot on, especially the auto cannon fire, it feels like letting off a nice volley. The clouds add a really nice touch too and the cockpit is well detailed. The game is smooth and the music gives it that BSG atmosphere which I love. The difficulty is a touch to hard for me at the moment, I found it tough to keep a lock on as those enemy seem to spin round me so fast even with my drift on, but I did manage to take a few ships out. Maybe a difficulty setting would help, or faster spin. I'm looking forward to more strategic options and more voice content. It would be great to have more voice chatter and voice from a commander on the overall battlefield situation. Keep up the great work, this has so much potential and I can wait to see how it develops. Also really nice to have a roadmap for development.

Terrible control

I was so excited when this finally came into early access. Only to end up severely disappointed in the controls. Using the joystick to control the flight is no different than a flat screen PlayStation game. We are in VR people..... I want to grip the flight stick and roll my wrist with the yaw, and naw pitch and roll with my controller. So many other indie devs have done this flight system by themselves. Single developer games cost only $10. I'm strongly hoping that these controls get the priority update first and foremost. Secondly the lock on guns is ridiculous, takes forever to lock on and the target reticle doesn't even line up with where you're shooting. The lock on system doesn't work needs to be a toggle on or off in settings. The turn and maneuverability needs vast improvement, how you turn in drift should feel how you'd normally adjust your pitch, yaw, and roll. I hope updates are happening very soon cause $25 for a game that looks fantastic but plays terrible is not a good trade off.

Crushing disappointment

Remnant Protocol has been at the top of my most wanted list for what feels like forever. I have bought incredible VR games that are written by solo developers (Quantum Void) and backed early access titles that have taken years to reach their promised potential (Downtown Club). Unfortunately, Remnant Protocol is just a mess and based on what has been released in alpha state after so long in development (assuming it was in active development when first listed) I cannot believe it will ever be completed to a state that the store page videos and screenshots promise.

Feels Prehistoric

So I was excited for this game to come out, but man, from what I've played so far, it feels like an old space game from the first generation of vr. For one, the fact that you can only use the analog sticks instead of using the whole controller as the joysticks just breaks immersion. Second, you get no feedback if you get hit by the enemy at all. During an attrition match, I had no clue that I was being attacked until I saw that I had a bit of hull damage from the status screen. Third is the tracking system. It works sometimes, and other times, you could be right in front of an enemy and it just... doesn't lock on. I know this is still very early access, but it needs to bake in the oven a lot longer.

Lacking anything worth a price

So $35 for about promise of future content? There is literally noting here worth that price yet. I will say it might have potential, but too hard to tell at this stage. I understand it’s a working progress, but if you want people to support you, for nothing. Not happening. REFUNDED.
