A "goofy" fun puzzle game

The studio that brought us the fantastic Retropolis series of games is back with a new game that marries point & click gameplay in an occult setting. There's a surreal blend of comedy and weirdness to carry you through the numerous puzzles and story To anyone that is a fan of the traditional point-and-click puzzle games, it's a no-brainer. It's also highly recommended to anyone that loves their puzzle games in general and not just the Retropolis series (which you should also get!). The game launched in early access form at a super low price and is representative of the full game. Support the team as they continue to update the title for free. Anyone that's familiar with EA titles on PC will know the drill, but with Riddlewood Manor it's all but guaranteed we will receive the full game (the full flat game has already had its full release on Steam). I can't wait to jump into the updates as and when they come. But for anyone else, pick it up at the cheapest price before the inevitable price increase when it reaches its full release.

Review: Riddlewood Manor (Early Access)

I played the early access version of Riddlewood Manor, a point-and-click horror/adventure puzzle game (seated). The puzzles are thoughtfully designed and often multi-layered—you’ll frequently need to solve one puzzle to uncover information for another. It rewards careful observation and a bit of patience. There are jump scares, but they’re more “cartoon startling” than true horror—think surprise rather than dread. You can die and restart, but there are multiple save points, which makes it forgiving and keeps you from having to redo completed puzzles. The visuals are hand-drawn in a stylized cartoon format and are quite nicely done, adding to the atmosphere without being overly dark or heavy. I did run into a few elements that seemed like puzzles (such as wall plates that appear rearrangeable), but I wasn’t able to solve them. I’m hoping those are placeholders for future content rather than something I missed. The only technical issue I encountered was the inventory occasionally disappearing. Reloading the game brought it back, and I didn’t lose any noticeable progress. At this point, I’ve reached several doors marked “coming soon,” so it seems I’ve hit the current end of available content. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to future updates. Thanks to the developers.

Great little puzzle game

A great little game and I can’t wait to play more of it. The only issue I had was that my inventory disappeared a couple of times when I entered another room and I had to reload the game. Otherwise this is definitely a game to have.

A Top VR Puzzle Adventure Full of Chills

Riddlewood Manor is an outstanding point-and-click adventure and puzzle game with stunning visuals! Much more challenging than Peanut Button’s previous title, Retropolis, it offers a real test for puzzle lovers. The haunted house theme is beautifully executed in cell-shaded graphics, and the well-placed jump scares add just the right amount of thrill. Immersive, clever, and genuinely fun — a must-play for anyone who loves mysteries, puzzles, and a few chills along the way!
