The Gold Standard of VR Ports!

Roboquest was already proven to be a blast in its non-VR version, but experiencing it in VR takes intuition and immersion to a whole new level! What impresses me the most is how exceptionally well-optimized the standalone Quest version is—aside from the resolution difference, it feels almost identical to the PCVR version. The fact that it supports cross-platform multiplayer so you can jump into the action with players on other platforms makes it even better!

I love this game!!!

I never played the flat version before playing in VR. I didn’t think I’d like this game since I’m not a fan of some roguelike VR games. Well, Roboquest VR thoroughly impressed me. It has been one of the most addicting games I’ve played. Once I start, it’s hard to put down. The more you play, the more you discover. Each unlocked door or new discovery brings joy and excitement to keep going. After many hours of playing on SteamVR and Meta, I decided to give the flat version a try on PS5. I just can’t do it. It’s not the same. Being IN the game is so much more fun and immersive. For someone who rarely plays roguelikes, this is a must-have. If you experience any issues with the game, reach out to Flat2VR on their Discord server and they’ll fix it. Very responsive and reactive to provide a perfect gam

One of the best VR shooters out there!

If you've been thinking about getting this game, do it. It's great, it is just as good in standalone as it is on PCVR, this is a great version of the game that plays great. Plus, it has online co-op, which is so much fun with friends. There's is a lot to unlock and level up so always a reason to get back into it. Totally worth it! A must have for any Quest gamer out there.

Great Game…but it’s ugly

Let’s start with the positives. The gameplay loop is addictive. The gun play is really solid. The speed is excellent. Overall it’s a really fun game to play. The only real negative I have is the graphics. It is a pretty ugly game as it stands. The environments, especially are very stale and raw looking, and often flicker. Everything just kind of lacks the extra polish you would expect from a Flat2VR game. I’ve heard the devs mention improving the cell shaded art, and if this happens, this will become a five star review. However as it stands, it’s an ugly fun game.

Believe the Hype!

Anyone who's a fan of intense, action-packed games is in for a treat Robo Quest delivers this and does it with style. You will die...and possibly a lot to begin with. But there are multiple difficulties to help ease you in (and more difficult ones to unlock). Being a rogue lite, with every success or failure you are getting stronger. Whether it's via unlocking meta upgrades, learning enemy behaviours or how to specialise your perk choices The sheer number of guns, perks, gadgets, classes and secrets will keep the game fresh. You will be discovering something new every run for some time. Despite spending 50+ hrs on PC, there are still many weapons/perks/builds that I'm still discovering. The team has done a fantastic job at porting the game from flat and improved it, in so many ways (from being able to dual wield and fire at two separate enemies to adding in motion controls, e.g., for throwing weapons). To something as simple as adding voice chat in co-op (which doesnt exist on the original flat version for some reason) Thats right, there's Co-Op, and it's also cross-platform, so you can play with friends that have it on PC or PSVR2. While there are some minor performance hitches (at launch), it is completely playable, and you probably would only be bothered if you played the PC/PSVR2 ports (standalone convenience!). There's honestly some black magic going on in the background for it to even be able to run om standalon. I'm sure the team will continue to polish it long after release if it follows the pattern to any of the other Flat2VR releases.. It was easily my VR GOTY when it came out on PC last year, and it's set to become Q3 VR GOTY.
