Just plain awesome

One of the best rogue shooters for the Quest. Don't be turned off by the hand gestures, you can play it with controllers (my prefered method). I wasn't sold on the fixed point movement but I warmed up to it pretty fast. The graphics are pretty good, the atmosphere is a mix between Void Bast*rds [got a profanity warning... unbelievable. ] and Sweet Surrender with more than a touch of Neon. The gameplay is fabulous, the weapons varied... Great time to have a quest 2, sounds weird that the quest 3 is around the corner when so many good games are released right now.

A Hand Tracking Flagship Title

Rogue Ascent is undoubtedly the first game to get hand-tracking right, and it's not just one of the tech demos you've probably gotten to know. This is the type of title you expect Meta to start shipping along with their headsets just to demo how solid their OWN technology is. The controls feel fluid and will have you holding your hand in front of your fridge waiting for it to open after you take the headset off. The game stays faithful to the roguelike genre in all ways. Levels are all procedurally generated, with skills, powerups, traps, and an arsenal of weapons. This game is clearly intended to be played with your hands, and everything in the design reflects that premise. The music is incredible. It's hard to comment on this game and not make any reference to the incredible soundtrack. I love the style and aesthetics of the game. New Game Plus, Plenty of gamemodes, and unlockable classes keep the game fresh, with a leaderboard to compete the whole way.

Great hand tracking shooter

I’ve had this game for awhile now. I’ve put a lot of time into it. It is supper easy to play, but tough as you get further in. I’m a sucker for any randomly generated game. In my mind you get way more, and spend way more time just wanting to play another run. If you a fan of Sweet Surrender, In Death, and Ancient Dungeons style of game. Than I highly recommend giving this a shot.

A great rougelike FPS!

Let me start off by saying I cannot believe this game is just $10. You get a full fledged, feature packed rougelike with multiple different characters/classes, lots of cool and unique weapons, nice variety of enemies as well as a new game plus and multiple different game modes. I’ve been addicted to this game and it makes great use of motion controls. If you enjoy roguelike/roguelite games definitely pick up this title as it’s a mf blast!

Absolutely amazing game

When I saw this game was controlled completely with your hands I was skeptical, the only expierences I had with that kind of gameplay was from a couple of half baked vr games However this wasnt that The tutorial is extremely well made teaching you how to adapt to this new control style quite well, the gestures are simple which for a game like this work perfectly, nearly halfway throuvh my first run i had basically forgotten i wasn't using controllers (although that may just be a me thing) the gun play is extremely fun the arts style of this game is absolutely excellent and I love the character personalities with each of them feeling quite unique to them, additionally with the gun mods, upgrades and how many playable Characters there are this game has so much content in it. Overall I would absolutely recommend this to someone who wants a polished and very fun Vr game, this game is great and uses the medium its in very very well
