An addictive roomscale based game

Mythic realms is one of those games that just can't be replicated in the flat medium. Its a hybrid MR/VR game that takes advantage of room scale. Seeing monsters appear in your room to fight is one thing but having to walk your way around you room to do tasks is a whole different kettle of fish, entirely. Tasks may be simple with you having to chop down trees, mine for ore and fish. But having to carry them out in your living room and physically shows VR in a different light. As for combat....its probably the strongest part of the game where you have to take advantage of hitting critical points and deflecting/blocking enemy attacks. You have a range of melee/ranged and magic weapons at your disposal as you fight your way through skeletons, slimes, goblins and more. The bosses are even more impressive in terms of scale, move sets and inventiveness The gameplay loop is simple but very addictive as you level your character to deal more damage/take more and grind for materials to craft stronger weapons, gold to upgrade your village (granting you perks) Be warned its a rogue lite in that you lose your equipment when you die! So know when to quit a level (which pop up on milestone points in a stage)

Mythically Mixed Realms of Reality

I loved this game! When first starting this game you are given the opportunity to pick your choice of weapon class, from Wizard, Archer and Knight and much like Pokémon Red where I chose Squirtle, I too here opted for the easiest beginner weapon and went with Wizard. Now it's all academic as you will eventually unlock all other weapons later in the game, but in terms of ease of use I would say Wizard = easy, Archer = medium and Knight = hard for taking your first steps into the Mythic Realms. Now during each run you have individual levels where you'll have 3 options to pick from, tree cutting, rock smashing and fishing are what will give you resources used for feeding the townsfolk and for crafting weapons. Then there are other things that will be options periodically, such as using a campfire to regenerate health, a sword icon with arrow above to upgrade a weapon, a white figure sitting on a rock to get a free weapon and a backpack where you can buy items from a merchant. The game switches from VR within the town to MR when you go on a run in one of the four realms, the realms appear all over your walls in forms of vines and leaves, to ice, lava, mushrooms and so many different colourful features, just keep an eye for any slivers of light where you'll be able to pick up a power up. When you complete a realm by killing the boss in that area, you'll unlock the ability to add an upgrade, such as increased XP, increased gold to doing more damage and taking less damage, I think there are 8 to pick from and you'll get max 4 you can use at any one time. Later in the game you'll be able to build a wood crafting shack to make weapons and a blacksmith to do the same and smelt metals. One tip is follow the merchant and listen to everything they say, that's how you'll be able to unlock selling unwanted weapons and upgrading the buildings to make better weapons from higher class materials. There's so many more things I could cover but this is already getting long enough for Peter Jackson to make a movie out of it, so I'll just say the game is a lot of fun, requires a decent sized play space (I was in around 2mX3m and it was about enough) and there's a great range of enemy types, bosses, weapons, honestly I got 8+ hours out of it and it's a total blast. My one request from the devs would be to add co-op, how cool would it be if you had your own space and so does your friend with the rooms side by side and enemies able to move between and attack you both.

One of the best VR games i have tried.

This is one of the best games i have tried on VR. The way the mixed reality feature of the game combines with normal VR is so smooth and it just works. The only reason i gave this any less than 5 stars is because the portal you set in the start is where it stays for the entire game so if you set it in for example your bedroom and want more space for the mixed reality feature, there will be much walking back and forth.

This game holy cow

I absolutely love this this freaking game. Only down side is u want lots of room to play. It's so well polished for a mixed reality game. It'll get ur blood pumping for sure. Without out doubt one of the top best games I recommend for quest 3 5 stars for sure

Lots of fun, but crashes often.

I want to start off this review by saying the game is a lot of fun. I enjoy the loop of going out on expeditions and slowly building up gear and upgrading the town to get progressively stronger. But one thing that sours the mood more than anything is when I go out in some of my best gear available only for the game to freeze and cause me to lose all that equipment on that run. That sucks, and every time it happens, it sucks any and all enjoyment I was having from the game. Because the game feels the need to set back my progress with crashes after I spent so long crafting my gear, I cannot rate this higher than a 3/5
