Some sick new skins created by our artist, Zerk, have made their way to Blackgate Station. These high tech mercenaries are not without style, ready to take down the Alien Specimen. Purchase them in the in-game store! Also included in this update are some fixes to Player Rank images.

Beutiful game, one small issue tho

this game is great! it perfects everything from graphics to gameplay. Although there is a recurring issue, you need someone to be the alien for the game to start and to be the alien you need to buy the full game. Now i understand the buying part (you gotta get money somehow) but what this leads to is servers just filled with people who dont own the full game and are too stubborn to buy it or leave. A good idea to combat this issue would be to have a bot as the alien that has different difficulties and can be overridden by people with the full game so people can still play without having to wait ages for someone with the full game to join! but overall this is a great game and one that people should at least give it a go! Just dont be stubborn if no one has the full game.

Absolute scam

Sure the idea and the tutorial make it seem like a fun game, the bullsh!t starts when you realize that the only way your can play the full game is through "premium pass" which is stupid as hell, they don't instead of adding a price tag on the game like any other normal game dev, they gotta scam you into thinking the game is "free" even when you get into the game with other people, someone has to be the monster, the real scam is that you realize to be the monster, you have to buy the premium version of the game, which, if you don't have anyone that has the premium version then you can't play at all, to put it short: this game is a scam, don't get it

Space Bound Survival Horror

You enter the darkened corridors of a hulking space station hovering silently above earth... a sense of dread crawls through your spacesuit... you rush to find your way to the station systems to repair them as quickly as possible... but you hear it... you hear it busting down doors... attacking other engineers... you struggle to repair communications so you can find out just exactly where everyone else is and what's going on... you finally encounter it and run as it attempts to gain strength from your injuries... as you're getting the ship back online... you hear the terrifying roar of the creature as the evolution process completes... you dash for the armory in the hopes that you and your team will survive... this is when real survival begins. Whether you play as an engineer or the alien, you're going to enjoy it thoroughly. From silently stalking the astronauts through ventilation systems of the crippled space station to out running the lurking creature by darting into rooms and slamming the door behind you. Blackgate has taken several aspects of different games and genres and combined them into what you see today. I have been playing for over a month, and improvements continue to be implemented. I was weary at first due to the zero gravity movement mechanics, but when you get used to it, you'll be zipping around with ease... which is important to your survival as the engineer... The game is best played with a full server and even better with friends. Will your team repair the ship in time to access defensive systems to defeat the Alien? Or will it evolve and consume everyone in its path? This game has much potential, and I personally have enjoyed every minute of it so far. I am excited to see any new developments and features that will keep players coming back for more. Blackgate is one of my usuals on my playlist of games for the Quest headset for sure...

“Free”

This game is good and feels authentic but locking the alien behind a paywall doesn’t sound bad….until you realize to even start the game you need someone to be the alien for the game to start you can lock the other parts behind a paywall that’s fine but locking the only way to play the actual game behind a paywall is crazy work.I understand making money from a FREE game but sitting in a lobby with screaming kids saying “does anyone have alien?” As some constructive criticism either make the game payed again OR let people use the Alien without needing to buy the DLC
