Meh

Maybe I'm a bit spoiled with games like mario kart. I was hoping for a similar race experience, and as there aren't that many racers on Oculus, this seemed like the best choice. In short, it seems so dated. It could have borrowed much more from other race games. Given te amount of stars it got, maybe I expected too much. My problems with this game: -Weapons are all very similar, three things to shoot forward and one landmine. -If you don't finish first in the first lap, you will probably not win since having pole position has all the advantages: get all the extras, not getting shot that easily, etc. -Not that many different tracks. Didn't count but I think 8? -Some cars are losers, you just can't win with certain cars. Not very well balanced and makes you pick the same car everytime. -Motion sickness is pretty bad here. I spend many hours on my oculus a week and don't get sick anymore playing new stuff, but this one is the exception. Especially drivers POV. Don't know what could be done about that but I feel sick as I'm typing this. It's some good fun, and I think the battle possibilities are cool, but overall it feels like a B title and it could have been much more.

Best VR Racing game, although lacking

The selection of cars are great. They all have their own stats and paint jobs. However, I do feel like the car selection could be a bit larger, along with more wacky cars like a tank or a pizza delivery van. Another thing to mention are the tracks. Although there are a great amount of tracks with lots of variety, Half of them are just the same track but with different timesets. Another thing the tracks don’t have are shortcuts. I’m honestly a tiny bit disappointed that there aren’t any. Other than that really, this game is pretty much the closest you can get to Mario Kart on VR.

It’s a blast with fixable issues

This game is solid. The tracks are beautifully rendered with plenty of variety. The physics of racing tiny cars feels spot on using the RC controller. It’s a blast to race these tiny cars! There are a couple issues that need to be addressed: first and foremost ALLOW ENVIRONMENTAL SOUNDS TO BE TURNED OFF. The repetitive seagulls and cicadas are irritating beyond description (esp for those of us that turn the game music down so we can listen to our own tracks in the background) and also some of the camera positions need to be tweaked. In a couple of tracks it puts your view right behind a cloud or other object and in the soccer arena your initial view is behind the stands, and you have to lean forward to get them out of your way, but then the flags are still in your peripheral view. Fix these small things and the game will be just about perfect.

Not amazing,but still very good

I'm in agreement with most others,i absolutely love it,but there are some small flaws.It looks great,i absolutely love it,i've not played as much as i'd have liked due to health issues,but so far,so good. Loads of fun to be had,only gave 4 stars for 2 reasons.... 1...i'm a little heavy handed,and keep finding myself pressing down on the thumbstick and changing view half round a bend.Gonna have a look at settings to see if i can change this. 2...out of all the games i've got,this is probably the worst for motion sickness,changing views can help,but i really can't spend as much time on this as i'd like.I don't know if that's something the developers can work on,but for the moment,i'm using some travel sickness wrist bands....put them on 5 or 10 mins before playing,they're not perfect by any means,but for me personally,they do help a little bit.

Must Better Than Expected

Going in,I thought it was just a racing game where you sit above the track stationary as you drive around the track. I had no idea you could actually drive from the driver seat. There are many different racing modes that will offer plenty replay value. You can do basic racing or with weapons,like Mario Kart. This game was developed by The Binary Mill,which is one of my personal favorite VR studios. They also made Rush VR,Gun Club VR,Resist and their latest game,Into Black. I highly recommend any game coming out from The Binary Mill,they do not miss
