Saturn V is too big for my living room!

This app delivers an immersive way to appreciate the true scale of some of humanity’s greatest achievements. A winding path leads you through a red sandstone canyon filled with life-sized replicas of iconic rockets from across the history of spaceflight. The setting beautifully conveys their immensity, while the sunset atmosphere creates a surprisingly calm and reflective mood. My inner child couldn’t resist poking my head into a few rocket exhausts (try doing that at a museum!), and I thoroughly enjoyed following the twisting trail as it opens onto a glorious sunset vista—featuring the Saturn V, Space Shuttle, Falcon 9, and Long March, all dramatically framed by the canyon walls in front of a sparkling sea.

Stayed in Until the Headset Hurt

Honestly despite being labeled "very early access", in my opinion. "Rocket Garden" already offers a spectacular experience which is immersive and calls many childhood fantasies into (virtual) reality. It is hard to describe how cool it feels to stroll through a serene rocky sandstone landscape with noises of birds and a light breeze, while some of mankind's most impressive technological achievements are just vibing there calmly, for you to inspect and enjoy. At the beginning, you will find the big globe that has a real-time positioning indicator as a tiny 3D model of the ISS showing where its currently located and how it's moving, which I think needs no emphasizing, is extremely cool. Afterwards, you will find a lot of different Milestone rockets, which you can inspect from as close or as far as you wish. You can inspect, close up the whole tubing systems of the Gemini engine, for example. Timestep Studio has clearly put in a lot of effort into this VR experience: apart from the beautiful models and textures everything is very thoughtfully arranged within the landscape, and the landscape itself is crafted in a way that helps you optimally see the rockets from various angles and viewpoints. As a work in progress, I essentially treat this like a museum which has such cool stuff that they had to open before it was completely finished. But if the museum's exhibits are that cool, you will definitely have plenty of fun visiting it already. An absolute must for everyone who has even the slightest interest in rockets and the technology around human space travel and exploration. I had to explore every corner until the pressure off dad headset physically hurt my head. When I found myself between the Saturn V and Starship, I literally got goosebumps: The scale of these machines and the way you can experience it with "Rocket Garden" is simply breathtaking. I can't wait to see how this VR experience keeps developing, like more textures and environment elements.

Museum, but Fun

I never thought I would stand so close to a rocket. Seeing them at true scale was impressive, and the whole experience felt immersive. It would be nice to have more interaction with the rockets, but overall it was fun and I think I even learned something while wanderig around the desert.

What a fun, immersive way to experience the epic scale of different space rockets with a virtual stroll through this beautiful seaside garden. I had no idea that the Saturn 5 was that much taller than the space shuttle system! 🚀
