A wonderful platformer

Salmon Man is a hidden gem. At first glance, it looks simple, but the deeper you go, the more you realize how much craft is behind it. The game is built around skill, physics, and yes… frustration ... Every obstacles, every level feels carefully tuned. You can feel the amount of work that went into making the physics both demanding and fair. It’s precise, challenging, and incredibly satisfying once you start mastering it. A deceptively simple VR platformer that reveals real depth over time. If you enjoy physics-based gameplay that rewards patience and mastery, Salmon Man is absolutely worth your time

Deceptively simple, surprisingly deep

Salmon Man looks simple on the surface, but it quickly reveals a surprising amount of depth once you start playing. The paddle interaction feels physical and consistent, and once you understand how it behaves against surfaces, movement becomes intentional rather than chaotic. The physics are challenging, but they feel fair, and the level design reinforces that by rewarding control instead of speed. This is a well-crafted VR experience built around a single strong idea, executed with care, and definitely worth playing if you enjoy skill-based, physics-driven gameplay.

Really cool mechanic!

I dont normally review things so quickly but people giving this lower than 5 stars because it doesn't have smooth turning (yet) need to realise with so few reviews it can be harmful to a new title getting the attention it deserves! This game is great! The paddle works incredibly well and its super responsive to your hand movements - there's no lag. I had a bit of jitter when I first tried it but my Quest was running slow, a restart fixed this! No jitter after the restart. When you're in the water you can paddle like you're rafting (but without it turning the camera) and when you push against rocks and things its a bit like doing a jump in Gorilla Tag and similar games - except its the whole paddle: you can balance and push yourself off any part of the paddle. Except unlike other games that use springy physics this locks you like you're climbing...with the whole paddle not just your hand... it's hard to describe but its a new fresh take on these kind of games and I love exploring new mechanics in VR - and its great to play a game like this that isn't 'wobbly'. I'm expecting this one will be really popular and a hit for all ages. Beautiful graphics and fantastic level design!

Beat the game and this is honest

Ive beaten the game already so take my word for it and not the dev sponsored reviews here. This is the real one. This is one of the most poorly developed games I’ve ever seen so if you’re looking for quality or polish this is NOT it. The game is frequently glitchy, and the paddle mechanics are almost NEVER consistent. Once you get to the 2nd area everything just falls apart. MASSIVE frame rate drops, buggy/stopping mid air physics breaking mechanics. I mean this thing is just a dumpster it’s freaking trash. If you’re reading this review and considering buying it please DONT!!! The devs might respond with some AI damage control response but take it from Someone who’s gone through this game. Stay away like this thing is trash. Devs if you’re reading fix your game, this is an embarrassment and there’s a reason why it’s dead on arrival and you’ve made like 5k at most. Also find better beta testers instead of a bunch of YES men or woman whoever your friends are won’t be honest with you
