If the question this demo is trying to invoke is, "would you pay money for a full version of this game?". "Yes I would" is unequivocally my answer. I'm on the Oculus Go. As stated by other reviews, I would obviously like to see enemy stats, I felt that was going to be an upgrade you could buy. Works for me. The music is so zelda-esque that it fills that little hole of drive to keep you playing. And turns up the fun knob. I don't care about graphics, go with fun over beauty. The most beautiful game with no appeal is still garbage. The amount of times you bump into villain battles seems a little high. There is a fine line between challenging and annoying. (or high danger areas visually detailed, as another user stated, seems like a winning strategy.) The controls. Wow does this ever work on the Go. So many games don't work when requiring you to click the pad in the up position. I was starting to think it was a physical defect, but this game plays with the pad flawlessly. Great job! In closing, anyone giving a demo of a FREE game 1 star because they feel they weren't marketed to properly needs to go back and put on their Axe body spray while watching Fast and Furious on their overpriced Sony curved LCD with Bose surround sound. The grown ups need to talk. Can't wait for a full version!

Potentially potentialtastic

This trial is definitely a test run, but that's ok. This game feels like it's 90% Legend of Zelda 10% Pokemon and I will eventually love it. Like another user said, monster stats are a necessity. Additionally, there needs to be visible boundaries in the environment that show where you will and will not face potential threats. Think of the tall grass in Pokemon: the player knows to avoid it as much as possible to avoid danger or dive in it for a chance to gain experience points. If enemies are going to remain invisible while walking, then the boundaries will be absolutely necessary. Dangerous places, like caves and dungeons, can run exactly as it is now. Once those two things are set up, you'll only need to clean up the imagery and supply a good story and I'll be telling everyone about it. In fact, even if the look didn't change but the monster stats and danger boundaries were fixed, you could still hook a ton of people just because no one else has created one of these in Gear/Go level VR yet and you would probably have room to make it a normal-length game because of all the saved storage space and processing power. This is a long term keeper if things go right in the full version.

Early Beta version that needs much work.

It's a very standard "walk around and encounter monsters" RPG, done in VR. It's obviously an early beta version, but the potential is there. I just wish that it would clearly state that this is, in fact, just an early beta for testing and feedback. I'm not going to mention the graphics. It is what it is. However, as for the monster encounters (actual feedback here) you need to include stats or at least some kind of health bar for the monsters as well. As of now, you have no idea what you're up against, if you are close to killing it or if you need to heal or try to escape. You just keep attacking and hope that you are doing ok, without knowing if the monster is at 90% health or 10% health. Major design issue. As for the rest, it's basically solid, except everything needs much work and attention to detail.

I’m a huge fan of turn based rpgs, having grew up on dragon quest/warrior, Pokémon, final fantasy And now a days loving games like lost odddesy Having a turn based game on the go is great. This demo sold me on it and I’ve bought the game now.
