Real Hidden Gem

Really love this game, have always wanted a military war sim to run in my rooms and this scratches that itch fairly well. Lets you scale the size of everything and I find 40-50% is about perfect. You can also place the spawns which I found 5-7 spread out makes game a lot of fun. Bosses need to take a lot less collision with environment damage, but is pretty balanced and bug free overall if you map your room out well. The mission where you need to rescue people can get out of hand too fast, Would love to see a variant Mission spawn a base in between their spawn points and my helipad where I need to grab people 1-2 at a time and fly them back to my helipad. Some anti-air Flack units that fire little chopper sized black clouds of shrapnel would be a really nice visual and fun unit. Would love to see this playable co-op with my other headset and have multiple saves so I can show the game to other people when they come over without ending my run. Would also love to see the Boost button switched to the secondary triggers that aren't used for anything, having to mash down that stick is a recipe for controller damage / stick drift in the long run. Keep up with this game, has a lot of potential. Would be nice to add some Deployable items in the future like Tesla coils or other defenses that can be bought instead of only upgrading the helicopter. At the very least I would love to see the helipad have some short-range turrets

🚁Toybox Chaos Done Right in MR! GOLD!

Toybox Rebellion is an absolute blast in Mixed Reality—I didn’t know I needed this game, and now I can’t stop playing it. The helicopter handling is spot on and instantly satisfying, making every mission feel smooth and engaging. You can jump into two distinct MR modes: one that fully uses your scanned room, and another mini tabletop-style MR world. Both are fantastic in their own way. Walking around your real space adds immersion, while the tabletop view lets you take a more strategic, commander-style approach. Honestly, it’s hard to pick a favorite. Enemy variety keeps things fresh, ranging from standard troops to completely wild encounters—a duck spraying water to block your shots, a dinosaur launching fireballs… yes, really. Missions are diverse and fun, including hostage rescues, base destruction, and more. And then there are the bosses—real BOSSES. Add to that weapon upgrades, new weapons, new helicopters, and constant incentives to keep playing, and you’ve got a standout MR experience. A fantastic and unexpected Christmas surprise that delivers fun, creativity, and chaos in the best possible way.

Fun mixed reality shooting game

If you're looking for mixed reality games to try, you should get this one! this is one of the best I've played. This brings me back to playing with g.i. joe figures but it's much better. It's a battle zone in your living room!

Mixed Reality Done Right

This is my second game from White Noise Games (the first was Eternal Starlight), and they’ve done a great job again. The developers truly understand how to use MR on the Quest 3. Scanning your room is optional, but when you do, the way the game blends into your real space is impressive. The tabletop versions of the game are just as impressive and fun. You have three helicopters to choose from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, and runs stay exciting thanks to so many different weapons and a great variety of enemies and bosses. The action is fast and chaotic in the best way, and every run feels a little different. The graphics are great with effects and explosions that look way better than I expected from an MR title. And being able to adjust the scale to fit your room is something more MR games should copy. If you have a Quest 3 and want to see what mixed reality can really do, I highly recommend giving this one a shot

Solid gameplay, could use more variety

Good: engaging but not stressful, easy to pick up and put down, mixed reality feels well done. Classic roguelike loop. I like helicopters. Can be improved: the controls are ostensibly simple, but due to the aim assist mechanic it can be frustrating at the start to actually do what you want. I also wish there were more variety on the player side. There are lots of different enemies which interact with you in a variety of ways, but for the player it feels like the gameplay could expand. There are a few scenarios besides "fight enemies", such as "destroy base", "protect buildings", and "pick up hostages", but the gameplay within doesn't change too much. I also think the between-round upgrade shop could be more generous. Buying things and being able to change it up is fun and I wish we could do it more. This review looks bad because the improvement section is long, but I genuinely like the game and think it can get even better!
