Not Even a Little bit Functional
I was hoping, as a Sax myself, that this app could at least let me play a little bit when I don’t have my instrument with me. I was sorely mistaken. The movement with the left hand is a mess and genuinely terrible, and most notes aren’t even playable without the nuance of the right hand. It is in every way an app to make single “notes” on in your free time, not an app to in any way spend any meaningful time on. I’ll give it that it’s in Early Access, but in its current state, it would be better if the developers just take it down entirely until they have a decent product to sell unless this is all they plan on doing. I also understand that in its current state, VR isn’t advanced enough to capture the grace that it takes to play an instrument at the time of writing, but maybe they shouldn’t market this as a saxophone app if it’s not possible to do so. TL;DR: Only buy this if you want to make some silly noises for a few minutes and never touch it again.
