very very relaxing and fun brain tickler

I don't expect too much from puzzle games, as they too often try to be clever .... or create anxiety due to poor puzzle logic ... but this one is a very surprising treat. I've found myself replaying after solving everything simply for the immersing and relaxing experience. The game play is intuitive, the soundscaping is quite zen, and the visuals are different in a way that made me think , "Oh, okay this is what Quest is all about". If you've played enough Quest 2 games, you know what I'm talking about -- they're usually a letdown and better experienced on a computer. For me, Walkabout Mini Golf, Superhot VR and this game are the standouts that utilize the VR experience in the best way. It's only $15. Go ahead and pull the trigger already. :)

Disappointing

Ok this is gonna be a complex review. Visually the game is beautiful, it hits all the marks when it comes to that. It is relaxing, enjoyable and immersive. So why the disappointment? It took me less than two hours to get to the end. I expected a lot more than five levels for that price. For that two hours I was pretty well immersed into it. There really is no story line. I want more levels, and for that price I expected a lot more.

Enjoy it less than I expected

I've been waiting months for this release, following their endless teasers on their FB page. Now that it's here I hate to say I just don't love it. Fairly or not, I'm comparing this to Puzzling Places, which uses the same concept except with real world locations and a much greater variety of puzzles. Puzzling pieces give you a very satisfying click when fitted together, as well as a soundtrack of evolving ambient noise recorded at the location, rather than the same relaxing but monotonous music. I find Loci's choice of bashing rocks together to be very unpleasant by comparison. Whereas Loci feels more challenging, that's only because you're looking at puzzle pieces that are all made up of the same elements, rocks, stairs, the occasional structural landmark. Consequently I don't feel like I'm solving it due to my own skill so much as bashing rocks together until something fits. That's not rewarding. Also after I put together a good-sized island, it didn't seem like you could peer inside hallways like you can with Puzzling Places, it all becomes a solid structure. It's a shame because the visuals really are quite stunning and I was very excited when I first booted it up, but if the puzzles aren't interesting then that doesn't mean much. My friend bought it this morning and she seems to be almost done with it, which is a pretty brief experience for the money. I'm requesting a refund because I'd rather spend it on Puzzling Places DLC.

Stunning and so relaxing

What a magical experience! From the very beginning you are immersed in magical worlds, rebuilding worlds and cities filled with tiny cute creatures and big stone giants! The music is beautiful and the graphics as well. If you are struggling with putting pieces together there’s a little clue to help you out, so it never turns out into a frustrating experience ⭐️ 100% recommend! This game makes me happy!

A work of Art!

Loved this game! Stop trying to compare it to other puzzle games, it is a unique and beautiful game and was very relaxing to play. The art work is amazing and the segues from one puzzle to the next were very cool. I only had one problem with it and that is that I just couldn't figure out how to reset the puzzles. Just turn around! The reset button is behind you! Doh! Looking forward to further puzzles to add to the game! Cheers! S.
