SprintAR is an Augmented Reality training app.

It lays out different patterns of training cones for sprinting, football, soccer or basketball. Automatically records lap times and shows a ghost replay for you to chase!

  • Never measure out training cones (witches hats) ever again!
  • Never have to collect them back up again, either :)
  • Includes many different cone patterns (no need to research them)

For personal trainers and coaches

  • Impress students with the latest technology
  • When running, students see a guide where to go next
  • Forces students to go round cones properly
  • Optionally use soccer balls or basketballs
  • Designed to quickly hand off the headset from one student to the next

For students

  • Chase a ghost of the best time!
  • See your time instantly
  • Practice multiple patterns, in the same space, with no setup time

SAFETY WARNING: never expose the inside of your VR headset (where the lenses are) to direct sunlight

Updates

New Continuous Mode

September 24, 2025

We've added an insane new continuous mode to SprintAR (turn it on under settings)! Under this mode, all cone runs are now done in laps. As you pass the first cone on each lap, your ghost from the previous lap will immedialy start racing against you. You have to continually beat your previous ghost…

Open Facial Interface

September 21, 2025

SprintAR is ideally suited for the Quest 3 Open Facial Interface. This interface increases your peripheral vision as well as keeping your face much cooler. Highly recommended!

Great tool to learn sprint drills

I wasn't sure what sprinting with a headset outside would be like, but this app does a great job of using mixed reality and teaching basic sprint drills like the 5x10x5. Realistically it's still a little early to be sprinting with a Quest 3 on your head and after 20 minutes I started to develop some neck strain. Once this is available on AR glasses or specifically designed lighter MR headsets experiences like this are going to be so cool! 5 Stars because I learnt some new drills and it makes setting up cones way easier. Plus racing your ghost is great motivation to keep pushing!
