Tentacular is Spectacular

I mean who wouldn’t want to be a giant squid in a VR game. I have played the game for about 90 minutes, the puzzles are quite straight forward but great fun to do. The graphics are awesome, the gameplay is really gripping. I love going off script and causing havoc. This is definitely a game the whole family can play, as soon as I’ve finished writing this I’m going to get back on it.

A good family game

For VR content visit Andy’s VR Reviews on YouTube This is a game perfect for the whole family. You play as a giant octopus who after it’s 16th birthday becomes an official member of an island community. You follow a cute story that lets you play countless mini games and really experience what it’s like to be to be a massive octopus. I only got the game a day before release so I was not able to play it as much as I’d like yet but I will be going through the whole campaign and updating my review once complete.

Release your inner child

The best way to describe tentacular is to think of being able to play with Playmobil toys in a toy town with giant octopus tentacles and you're pretty much there. Its a very polished fun game to mess around with. I was putting many characters as I can in a hot air balloon, creating traffic jams on an island and causing chaos as I go and seeing the physics and how people react to what you do which never gets tiring. The story is nice and fun so far too which gets you into playing with the physics of all the objects in the game and meet all the quirky characters along the way.

A Truly Unique & Excellent VR Puzzler

If you ever played with your toys in the tub as a kid, here’s an excellent chance to revisit your childhood. Wether you are building towers out of concrete blocks and shipping containers or launching rockets into the stratosphere, Tentacular will have you performing these tasks with glee (not to mention tentacles for arms). Everything is easy to understand but some missions will test your muscle memory to see if you can apply just the right amount of force to accomplish your goals. When Tentacular released, I had my eyes on other games but I’m so glad I came back around to give it a try. The playground/sandbox areas alone are worth the asking price. I’ve already spent hours hurling cars at helicopters during my best Kaiju attack impression. The Devs are very active on their Discord channel and responsive to inquiries and feedback alike. If you want a truly unique and wonderfully crafted game, look no further than Tentacular!

Not a Fan

I was excited to try this one based on reviews, but I am not a fan of games with long narratives between gameplay and this one is the worst. It takes forever to get to each section that you actually get to do something. The language the people speak is annoying and I just couldn’t get past that. I don’t mind subtitles, but man they take forever! They should create a skip option so you can move through quicker.
