The game is far from being finished.

The PC version supposedly works well, but the Quest version is unacceptable. I would've kept the game and waited for the developers to fix it before completing it, but they're just dodging the issues, so I'm done with it. This is what they wrote: "It is true that we had some problems due to hardware limitations on Quest, but we are actively working on it and will be updating the game with many improvements." The issue isn't the performance but rather the fact that the game simply doesn't work. Take the swing system, for example—on Quest, it's very difficult to manage. But the main reason I'm refunding the game is the placement of the pistol. You can see your gun out of the corner of your eye, but you can never actually reach it. If you try to look down, the pistol's position shifts too. It's ridiculous that a game is released in such a state nowadays. This is what happens to developers who prioritize PC development and only later focus on Quest.

HIGHLY UNDERRATED

this has more story, openness, gameplay and environment variety, and overall quality than most native quest games on the market. i know it's due to a shaky launch with bugs galore, but now it is one of the best games on quest. do yourself a favor and don't miss out on this. thank you devs for your efforts, games the most fun I've had in a while.

Good but needs fixing

While This is quite a good game it has many bugs that make it very annoying to play at times. But let me start with the good first, the parkour feels pretty good and fluid most times and doesn’t glitch much, the guns feel pretty good when shooting and they have weight so it actually feels like your holding a gun, the character you play as actually talks and has a personality and while the graphics aren’t amazing it still looks pretty decent for the quest 2. Now for the bad, it’s extremely hard to grip pistols with two hands because no matter where or how many times you press the grip button it just won’t work and that usually wouldn’t be that big of a deal but pistols are extremely inaccurate when holding them with only one hand so this makes using pistols straight up un-fun, bigger guns like SMGS and rifles don’t really have this problem but it still happens sometimes. another thing I noticed with pistols is that a lot of times they just won’t reload no matter how hard you try. Pulling items toward you is annoying because even if your holding both the trigger and grip the item almost always flies out of your hand or just straight up disappears. The enemy AI is also pretty bad because they often just stay in one place without moving at all or they just won’t shoot at you even if you’re standing right in front of them. Sliding is also pretty messed up as most of the time you slide the complete opposite direction that you were facing and you can slide through most objects and most objects that you have to blow up or pull down to get access to a different part of the area won’t load most of the time. Overall, I think this is a good game, but I think most people should wait a little bit until they release an update fixing all these issues

I would rather play Stride Fates.

So I usually am a HUGE fan of games that involve parkour. I actually really enjoyed Stride Fates even though that game is hated among the vr community. If you have a game that is intense and fast paced but also gives me an ability to run on walls, do some platforming, and destroy waves of enemies… 9 times out of 10 I will have a good time… This unfortunately was the 1 out of 10 times I didn’t want to play it anymore. First off, the game gives you ZERO guidance on what to do in a level to progress… For example, this game is supposed to be a fast paced platforming shooter, not Bonelab! I mean honestly, you are in a train and you have to get out of it; there’s no threat, there’s no enemy to speak of (at least until you get off of the train) and how do you get out of it? The first thing I’m NOT going to think of IS SHOOTING AT THE CEILING AT A LITTLE CRACK THAT BLENDS IN WITH THE REST OF THE BLACK CEILING!!! Honestly, is it too much to ask for a little waypoint for you to pay attention to when you’re lost? Or hell, maybe a map? ESPECIALLY for when you escape the Leadlair and the character hardly gives you any indication that you’re heading in the right direction? That’s another problem… I was playing through the first level after the prologue. I was patiently waiting for the game to gracefully fade to black once I beat the first boss… only to find out that the game just doesn’t ever stop for any reason… The game was trying to be like an open world because the destinations were connected by you driving to them. Again, no indication whatsoever. Oh yeah and another thing, the enemy ai is not polished at all, they hardly react to you doing anything and they take WAY too much bullets to die. This might be challenging if this game had a hard mode and I was playing it. But no, the game wanted to drag itself out for longer than it needed to be by having enemies take over 50 bullets to die, and have the level design be as confusing as Boneworks by barely giving you direction. You are not going to be able to play the game completely without noticing how bad the enemy ai is, especially considering how much this game loves to repeat itself, over and over and OVER AGAIN!!! You drive from point A to point B, you get into a shootout with some enemies, then go on a scavenger hunt for a lever to pull that isn’t clearly marked, again the game padding itself out, open up a gate to drive through, REPEAT! When you grapple hook onto one of the buggies, the physics are wrong too. There have been numerous times where I have gotten a buggy stuck in a bunch of rocks and I would use the grapples to pull it out, only for the buggy to strafe away from me. I have heard YouTubers say that the PCVR version is better… until I saw Mr Vr Voice do his impressions video on it earlier today… and needless to say he had the same reaction I had but his was focused on how the game was not polished , and HE played the PCVR version… It honestly hurts me to give this game a 1 star because I really thought this was going to be better than Stride Fates considering that there’s much more content. Maybe the game will get updated and MAYBE it will be better but right now, coming from someone who has finished the game’s story, I stand by my rating. Although this review is negative, I do believe that the game can grow on me, considering the controls are something that I am comfortable with and I cannot wait until the game gets patched so that some of the issues can get resolved. The developers have already addressed a lot of them which gives me nothing but good signs. I would absolutely be willing to overlook ALL of the game’s problems and change my rating to 5 stars if there was a waypoint. That’s my biggest issue is the game doesn’t have a waypoint that you can turn on in the settings for where you need to go or what you have to do in the room you’re in.

DON'T BUY... yet. Still...

(1 MONTH after release Update: Game is still riddled with bugs. My favorites 1. I need to grab My shoulder weapons exactly 5 times before the hand decides to grab the weapon. 2. Glitching through the Floor or Ceilings. It's a classic but for a reason. Always fun to see the upcoming Map by floating through Walls. Game COULD be VERY fun without the Bugs.) The game has tons of bugs there are literal MISSING files. (Like no joke there are some files that these devs just forgot to add... WTF!) Everything feels janky and unfinished. The Story is incredibly boring. And much much more. I am uploading a full playthrough of the game on my channel "BamirengVR" where I go into detail why this game is not worth buying right now. You just need to know that the idea is fun but the product is unfinished. Just wait a few more months. Until we (the idiots who preordered the game) are done playtesting and bugreporting.
