Probably the best introduction to VR

The experience is amazing the less said about it the better, one of the best pieces of Interactive Art around. If you have some nauseous older family members who want to try VR but can’t handle teleporting or locomotion try this out. There is no movement, your in the same place the entire time but man is it a great place to be. Showed this to multiple people who “didn’t like VR” and all of them enjoyed it immensely, some even wanted to experience it again as soon as it finished.

A pint or a unique experience!

For the price of a pint of beer that tastes like piss, you can have a unique and special experience, fully utilising the capabilities of the quest. People complaining it’s short… correct it is and I wish they had another story, but it’s under £4! How do you think people make money to do more of these creative experiences!? If you’re not a lemon buy it, if you’re looking for something to mindlessly throw hours into and can’t afford a pint then don’t. The ending was an incredible but simple message… but no spoilers, just saying it’s well put together!

Beautiful scenery.

Ok. It's only a 15 minute ride. It says in the description, so stop wining about the €5 it costs.(going to a bar will also cost me €5 in 10 minutes, so what's to complain about) The dedication and work put into it are definitely worth it. Very beautiful story! It's an experience. Btw..... Use roomscale while playing it. It's so engaging when you move from one part to another, sitting to standing,....totally immerges you into the setting.

Everyone should try this.

The Line is a cute VR love story that's without a doubt worth the every penny. It's just long enough to get you engaged in the story and characters, but short enough that it would be comfortable for just about anyone to finish. It requires you to move around quite a bit, but you're mostly just watching and listening. On the subject of watching and listening, I absolutely love both the animation and narration. My favorite part is that this game uses hand tracking. It doesn't make a massive impact on game play and when you interact with objects it's more like a button press, but that's fine. I think the whole point of hand tracking here is to allow the player feel more involved in the world which let's you get more involved in the story. Experiencing this with hand tracking makes me think that a controller would be more of a burden on the immersion. Just buy it if you have the 25 minutes or whatever it is. It's worth it.

What I was after

My 91-year oldgrandmother-in-law loves passive narrative experiences and I was looking for something with some very light interactions to give her a feel for what hand tracking can do. She really enjoyed this. Its a good intro for hand tracking interactions, and a pleasant little story. Yes its quite short but for this kind of demo to family, thats not reallh a bad thing
