Enjoyed it

I really like Timo Boll's avatar and his voice. I enjoy the campaign mode that allows you to progress through levels and test your skills. I also appreciate the fully animated avatars of the opponents, whose realistic movements make it feel like you're playing against real players. At first, I couldn't hit the ball at all—the controller grip and paddle position didn't match up. But after tweaking the settings until they felt right, it became a really fun and realistic ping pong game. The game offers both VR and MR modes. Currently, it doesn't support multiplayer and still has a few things that need improvement. However, if the developers continue to update it, this could become a top-tier option for anyone wanting to play ping pong in VR.

fingers crossed the devs listen…

DEVS! If you want people to buy and support this game, you’ve gotta make an option to have more realistic physics. Theyre basically unusable as of now. There is nothing inaccessible about ping-pong with normal physics, I mean look at Eleven TT, it’s got one of the largest VR user bases ever- and with Timo Boll attached to this game the most exciting part was that you might be able to learn how to hit the ball correctly and actually “play with him “. It’s sort of counterintuitive that you would make the physics unrealistic. People have always played ping-pong at all levels from very beginner to pro with “IRL physics” and this has never been a problem. I’m a huge table tennis fan in real life and enjoy Eleven table tennis and have a solid slime adapter, and play 2 to 3 times a week IRL. When I saw that Timo Boll had a game with him in it … that you could train with him(!!) I immediately pre-ordered the game. But after waiting three excited months past when the game was supposed to be delivered (they delayed it for quite a few months ) I was so amazingly disappointed to find the lack of realism. This game has so so much potential as a separate thing from Eleven TT: A chance to practice your IRL strokes, to do a story / competition PVE mode, and more. Making the physics some sort of weird unrealistic floaty thing makes it a totally different game from TT entirely. I am sincerely hoping I will come back to this game in a month or two and the physics will be more realistic- and that game would get 5* in seconds from me. But for now this will gather dust while I play Eleven. Please consider this devs! Please for yours and my sake! :)

Finally a tt game that is fun

Been following since the beta.Thank goodness not another TT simulator. We don’t need a hundred of those. I’ve been looking forever for a table tennis GAME that’s actually fun to play, has balanced physics, and look good. Something I can move around with and unwind after work. This hits the spot. Nice work, Timo.

the physics feel off

if I compare this to eleven table tennis, elevens physics beats this hands down. the physics here feels floaty and you can not hit hard or it goes flying. why does the game seem to assume you have a paddle adapter? in order to play without one, you have to click on unlock on the left side of the screen and adjust the settings. . multiplayer is in beta, it needs a lot of work. it doesn't seem to be tracking the players paddle good enough and half the time the ball will come back to you out of the air because it doesn't look like it even hits the opponents paddle. I only have maybe an hour in the game so far but it does not feel like real table tennis to me and that is sad. I had high hopes for this game, let's hope they are able to keep improving it.

My Favorite So Far

For people who want super serious sims, then Eleven might still be your go-to. But after trying a bunch of them, Timo is the best table tennis game for my personal taste. The hit assist feels spot on. The ball goes where you expect without feeling artificial. It's super satisfying and kind of puts you in a flow, Table tennis isn't an inaccessible sport like motorsport or sailing etc. So I don't really need something that simualte the real thing. For a game I want something instantly fun without being frustrating. Would love to see more levels added to keep things fresh!
