Surprisingly nice with hand tracking!

I didn't really know what to expect. This is a classic award winning board game and also a mobile game, but what would it be like in VR, hmm? Well, to put it short: quite fantastic! I definitely recommend that you play this standing up and with hand tracking on. Hand tracking makes this even more interesting, as there are not too many games that actually use hand tracking. It works surprisingly well after some training. It also takes a few moments to figure out how everything works in this little zen garden (a tutorial would have been nice), but once you get the hang of it you'll enjoy it! You can walk around the board thinking your next move or just walk around and enjoy the peaceful ambiance and the animals. You can play solo, or multiplay with your friends, or play against "the silly AI". In the garden there is a lot more to see than you think at first sight, some really sweet surprises. This is a nice place to chill and a soothing stress reliever but it is also a challenging enough strategy game to keep you interested for a while. I'm glad I gave it a try.

I'd give the game more strars if..

1. Movement around the game space is difficult to master. Using the thumb stick to choose which direction you want your perspective focused, once you hit the trigger, is difficult to master, especially if you back yourself into a corner. I am already used to just using the thumb stick to teleport around in other games and then using the thumb stick to turn around in place. Why couldn't the developers had kept it the same as other games I've already played? 2. Multi-player is also difficult to get used to. My wife talked me into getting this game so we could play together. At one point we were able to get into it together, but when we wanted a rematch it didn't work and we ended up in separate single player games. Then we had to quit our separate games so she could invite me again. At one point I was unable to highlight the "world banner" to get into online games and join, so I didn't know what I was doing wrong. I decided to quit the game and restart, then it worked. I think it would be easier to get a normal notice in the oculus menu and chose it to join the game. 3. The perspective you get of the board, especially in the seated position, is kinda hard to see all the lines the rock would slide on once you set your tile. Is there any way you could get a birds-eye perspective of the board, so you can see the lines easier? Other than that it is a fun, relaxing game. I like the surroundings and the zen like music. New edit: So I found out that you can port to the tops of some of the buildings. I've been playing now, from the top of the roof on the left hand side of the main pagoda. It was difficult, at first, to figure out how to position myself on the roof, but now I have a much better view of the board. Now that my wife and I have been playing for a while, we have figured out how to successfully get into the same game together. The rematch option still doesn't work for us, but at least we can both end the game after a win and start another together. So at this point I'm going to give this game 4 stars.

Potential 5 star game, but....

There are a few changes that would make this game the Zen-like experience that it deserves to be, and I am surprised that it hasn't been changed yet. 1. The button that you use to teleport should NOT be the same button that you use to choose and place tiles. Please change the teleport button to be the 'A' button. Simple fix for one of the most frustrating elements. 2. Creating multiplayer games is needlessly confusing. If I choose a rematch, it should offer the rematch to the other person, then put us both into the same game, but it doesn't. Sometimes multiple games end up being created and there is no clear indication of which game your friend is actually in, or clear way to remove unwanted online matches. 3. The resolution could be higher on the Quest 2. It seems like quite a low resolution game and would benefit from the higher resolution. 4. It would be really nice to actually have a physical avatar in the in-game environment so we could see the people we are playing with. If even 1 and 2 are fixed (or even just point 1!) I will change this review to 5 stars, as I genuinely love this game. It just needs a few tweaks to fix frustrating elements and it will be all Zen! Cheers!

Really cool game!

Tsuro is a really cool and fun game...but the multiplayer is frustrating...I play with my mother and aunt (we all have itchy trigger fingers...lol) but we can't seem to get into the same game... either someone is missing or we are there but can't see anyone's stone... maybe there should be a CLEAR leader... even when we click to join the same person it doesn't always happen.... and after a game that was successful... trying to do a rematch was impossible...I accidentally hit the trigger adjusting my position which took me out of the match and I couldn't get back in.... it said something was wrong with my internet connection or I have to get in contact with the developers... the internet connection wasn't the problem and there is no button to contact anyone.... they got frustrated and we all quit... this is a game where we want to get 5 people playing but we won't be able to if it gets so confusing and unable to connect us all in the same game...joining someone's party doesn't always work.... we spent 2 hours and we only played 2 games....GOTTA make multiplayer easier! Otherwise we can't play... and we REALLY want to...

Fun but how do you play with friends?

I bought this game for myself and a friend. It’s very relaxing and I am enjoying it. However I cannot figure out how to play with my friend. Also, it’s hard to find a good position to see the pieces from above. The start position puts you too close to the tiles. moving to another position means you have to turn quite a bit to see the whole board. Could be better.
