Very underwhelming

I was very excited to play this game because of the TikTok page showcasing it. Unfortunately, the game is nothing like it was advertised. The enemies are not only stupid but also extremely broken and not fun to fight. The physics system is mostly fine but it can completely break at times. For example, I tried to pick up a shell for my flare gun, but my game spazzed out and I was stuck looking upwards for some reason and when it went back to normal, my flare gun was nowhere to be seen. I had such high hopes but I can’t give this game more than 2 stars

BUYER BEWARE!

The wait for this game has been considerable, stretching back to its original September 2024 launch. One would reasonably expect that the ensuing eight-month delay would have resulted in a finely polished experience. However, while the game's narrative and core content exceeded my initial hopes, the sheer volume of logistical and technical shortcomings has moved far beyond simple disappointment, rendering the game utterly unplayable. Following the most recent update, this is no exaggeration: I am genuinely concerned that persisting through the relentless glitches could corrupt more than just my save data, as crashes invariably lead to complete system failures. Astonishingly, these developers, fully aware of the sheer depth of this digital dumpster fire, still possess the unmitigated gall to slap a $50 price tag on this monument to ineptitude. This exorbitant sum isn't just an overcharge; it's a deliberate act of contempt, a brazen fleecing of consumers for a product so demonstrably, so pathetically unworthy of such a ludicrous cost. Do better ladies and gentlemen just do better!

Game is not ready, updated july 2025

I was very interested in this game, the visuals looked good. I bought the game on the first day of release. But there is too much wrong with this game. The performance is not good enough, and the controls sometimes leave much to be desired. For example, I have to swing over a gap with a short rope and then grab a fence as a ceiling, so that I can climb further. I have tried it countless times, but I always fall down. Some challenge is welcome, but in my opinion this is absurdly difficult and makes me hate the game. I almost requested a refund. The game developer has released a roadmap for optimizing the game. In my opinion, that is putting the cart before the horse. Better make sure a game is finished, otherwise you can better plan the release a few months in the future. As a result, I have had a bad experience so far, and I refuse to continue playing this game until it will be more playable. This is a great shame. Update july 2, 2025: The game is patched, I can see that. The performance is a little bit better, but I think it is not enough, sorry. I understand it is not easy, because the graphics of this game are good. I hope the developer keeps on working on that. I will see what is happening in the near future. Update july 6, 2025: I have tried the game a little bit longer. The mechanics of the gameplay are not good enough in my opinion. The fighting is still a real disaster. I have removed the game from my Quest. I loose my money, because I don’t think I will play this game again. I think I had requested my money back when I could. But it is too late for that. A bummer, because I wanted to give the game another chance. I will never do that again. I think the developer wanted to bring a interesting game, but it is not playable for me.

It's a broken mess, but a gorgeous one

This game has all the parts to make it the best looking game to ever land on Quest, and the story - like the original Wanderer - is enthralling and inventive. The compromises made in getting it to work on standalone are numerous, but for those without access to PSVR or the upcoming Steam release, it's impressive they got it to work at all. Ground shifts and moves inexplicably, levels will suddenly restart and without audio, and the fighting mechanics are pretty rough. There's no gratification is swinging a bat, and bonking those alligators on the heads feels like it's lacking any kind of impact. I'm also pretty disappointed to have the full body, compared to just the hands in the original game. That's enough of a reason for me to stick with the original. The arms can't match your own and it's immersion breaking. It's an ugly trend and I hate it. The first felt sleek and purposeful, but the body renders the whole thing janky and unrefined. I'd really like it if they'd give us a toggle to use only hands. It would be an industry first and a lot of people would appreciate it. They're planning a number of patches that should fix the issues I listed above, but it simply can't win game of the year after abandoning the gloves that made the first feel so much like HL Alyx.

cool 4 star game

Can't trust all these reviews of people complaining in the Generation of "complaining" just because you're given a platform to do it. The Game is actually pretty good, the graphics are what to expect on this console and its still pretty good. The physics are top notch and the story is pulling me in as well with the atmosphere loving it soo far💯 The combat is not as bad as "complainers " who most likely are 11-16 years old because theirs no filter for making reviews. ... the combat can definitely feel better but i honestly had fun picking up a weight lift and slamming it into this guy for the knockout 😎lol funny that i can even do that lol. All the people saying its jittery and laggy need NEW HEADSETS, also many people dont have enough memory on their devices due to owning many games and don't know you need RAM for games to run smoothly.. my Gameplay was smoothe.. of course theirs simple tearing at times but only a complainer will complain because its not Game breaking at all💯... it gets tiring of people saying the graphics are bad compared to psvr2... stating the OBVIOUS SMH... its like saying a Lambo is faster then a toyota.. like OBVIOUSLY IT IS.... IF YOU WANT THOSE GRAPHICS YOU BUY THAT System .. ANYWAYs GOOD GAME GO BUY IT... IF NOT WAIT FOR THE COMPLAINERS TO TELL YOU WHAT TO DO WITH YOU'RE LIFE😝
