A high-octane boomer shooter that's blistering fast and brutally difficult like the games of yesteryears. Flat2VR excels at taking flat-screen cult and underappreciated titles before updating them for the VR crowd. Anyone who's played the original Doom or Quake games will know what to expect here. Explore maps, looking for keys to further open up areas, all whilst battling demons with a selection of different weapons. But it's more than a simple flat to VR port. Team Beef has taken the core Wraith game; added a new slide and bullet time mechanic. Followed with motion control for the melee weapons, dual wielding and a new flick reload– all things that can only really be done in VR with justice. Once you start dual-wielding a pistol/shotgun combo and flick reloading. Or simultaneously shooting two separate enemies charging at you from two different angles, you will understand what I mean. What was originally a solid title is now a must buy in VR. A fully fledged title that will take at least 15 hours before they see the end credits.

This isn’t usually my type of game...but WOW, I got hooked. Once you start learning the mechanics, it just clicks. And, then it’s nonstop chaos. Zombies coming at you, slashing, shooting, going full brutal mode…it’s insanely satisfying. It’s fast, it’s intense, and it’s just straight-up FUN. If you want something you can jump into and lose hours in without even realizing it, this is it. Trust me…you’re not going to want to put it down.

Wrath is not only old timey in it's gameplay, story and beautiful artistic graphics. It's also old timey in the most important way.. which is how nostalgic the Fun you get with wrath is! Everything is earned, no hand holding. The game is pretty long but so sweet where you always crave more. The artstyle is amazing! Gameplay reminds me heavily of the Quake/Doom games. Can't help but recommend!💯

I have never played the original Wrath, but I have played enough Doom to tell you that this game is awesome. You hack, you slash, you shoot, you dash. It's all the fun you want if you love the Doom series. I love the aesthetics, and I love the level design.I mean, it is ported by the best team that there is: Dr. Beef team. It's the first official Doom-like game on the MetaQuest, and I think that it is a very well-made representation of the series. There isn't anything to complain about, so I'm sure you're gonna enjoy this game.

Bought the flat game when I heard this was coming out but didn’t play it. Not to knock that game but the vr trailer made this games music seem like doom (heavy metal) and so far it’s just ambient. Which is fine, but the metal would take this game to a new level. Maybe add an alternate sound track? Only other things and thy are minor is you press a button to do switches. With all the work to make everything intuitive in vr, that feels out of place but I’m guessing there is a reason. Going up stairs also feels janky. All in all team beef and flat2vr got another winner here though and I’ll buy pretty much whatever keeps them making vr ports.
