Zengence isn’t your typical meditation or fitness game. This is positive mental health at full throttle. Zengence uses controlled breathing as your source of power while you dodge hurdles and conquer enemies. Learn to overcome stressful environments by breathing through the chaos. Find your voice and silence your inner anxieties.

HOW BREATH WORKS IN GAME

Breathe in. Breathe out. Hum into the microphone as you exhale to reveal Wraiths. Take aim and fire, dodging every attack.

The more you master your breath and vocalize through "vocal toning," the more potent the Orb becomes, revealing even the stealthiest of Wraiths and empowering your arsenal of sacred weaponry.

Keep breathing through gameplay to reveal all dark Wraiths. Defeat them to earn points and unlock new levels.

Every level completed becomes a part of your training. Daily practice will help you control stress and enhance your resilience.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Breathwork and biofeedback built into 30 levels of intense gameplay. Straightforward to learn but challenging to master.

• Daily challenges keep you coming back to sharpen your skills under new, constantly evolving challenge conditions.

• The Zen Garden is a separate space that teaches breathwork techniques in a calm setting and transfers completion rewards to regular gameplay.

Tone your breath, train your brain, and balance your mental well-being.

Great!

I put on the coffee, and thought I’ll try this game for five minutes. Half an hour later I’m still in the game, who cares about coffee? It’s entrancing, engaging, beautiful, satisfying. It’s billed as a mental health tool, but it is not only about coping with trouble, it’s about enhancing the good in your life, too. Using control of your breathing as a weapon teaches you to use it as a tool and a home base and a friend when you need one.

Groundbreaking mechanics

Cannot recommend this game enough. It’s so unique in its mechanics. IF YOU’RE STRESSED AND OVERWHELMED, THIS GAME IS FOR YOU. It utilizes not only breathing but humming - like Ohm, Aum or Om. Why is this beneficial? It tones your vagal nerve muscle. Something I am well versed in how beneficial it is. To see it gamified is innovative. What is your vagus nerve you ask? (Or maybe you didn’t but you should want to know!) The vagus nerve is like your body's personal chill-out button, running from your brainstem through your neck and into your abdomen. It's not just any nerve; it's like a superhighway of relaxation and balance. Its main gig is to keep your body's internal systems in harmony, regulating things like your heartbeat, digestion, and even mood. When you exercise this nerve, it's like giving your body a spa day—it can help reduce stress, improve your mood, and enhance overall well-being. So, think of it as your secret weapon for staying calm and centered. On the flip side, if your vagus nerve tone is low, you might experience issues like digestive problems, anxiety, and difficulty with emotional regulation. It's like your body's relaxation system is a bit out of tune, leading to a less harmonious state of being. That's why exercising your vagus nerve through techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or even singing can be incredibly beneficial—it's like giving your body's chill-out button a much-needed tune-up. I feel so grounded after playing. 100% recommend.

Breathtaking

Exciting gameplay that keeps you alert and on your toes, but then also forces you to calm down and focus on your breathing. Interesting game mechanic that I've never seen before!

Meditation meets Pistol Whip

Super awesome innovative game mechanics with very chill atmospherics. It’s like if a breath meditation game dreamed of being Pistol Whip in its early days. I can see it growing in the future with more levels and customization, but at the minute it’s a very good zen experience that helps you have fun and get in a flow. It does have a bit of a learning curve finding a tone that “counts”. I have to use a higher pitched hum. Besides additional levels and customization, I would love to see mic EQ adjustment options to finetune the core mechanic for different voices/intonations. Super good chill game that puts you in a zen state while having fun and not feeling bored or static, which I find is a challenge for most people starting breath meditation. What a fantastic take on the concept. I will note that this is much more of a rhythm meditation game than a shooter, but that is a small aspect (with extremely heavy auto-aim). I like that about it, but you shouldn’t expect a FPS experience. It’s more about finding flow than taking aim. Highly recommend even if there are no further updates, but I also see massive potential for future growth.

Frustrating game mechanic

Cool game concept, but in order to play, you have to "hum," "chant," or make noise the entire time in order to send out your orb. There's a killer soundtrack playing, but I can't hear it, because I have to hum the entire time. My dogs have been barking every time I play, and roommates have been nocking on my door asking what I'm doing. It's a shame, because it's an otherwise beautiful game. If I didn't hae to make noise the entire time I'm playing, it could be a lot of fun, but as is, I can't play more than 5 minutes without getting annoyed, and bothering everyone in my household.
