Best use of MR ever seen!

This is the coolest use of MR I've seen to date on the Quest 3. It actually feels like you're commanding a small army in your living room. Campaign has good variety and an interesting story. AI is pretty solid and playing online with a friend is a blast. RTS features are a bit simple but that makes it easier to play with friends/family that aren't hardcore gamers.

Actually really good

First let me point out I pre ordered as I was really waiting for a game like this in mixed reality, this is because I grew up with c&c, earth, aoe list goes on. I am actually surprised how technical well it released of course there is lack in terms of buildings, air vehicles but stuff shall come according to devs. But, I also must say the AI and multiselecting units especially for aircraft, actually for aircraft theres none, needs work.

Castor is my new Hero!

This game is simply put..awesome! The developers have produced a unique, fun and engaging RTS experience that immerses you in a world that reminds me of my nostalgic childhood playing classics like Command & Conquer. However it clearly brings more to the table with smooth and polished gameplay in MR or XR - whichever you fancy! I am simply blown away by the sheer amount of game modes available at this price point too! Local MR with a friend in your living room?! Sure! Battle the AI in a fully fledged campaign spanning multiple stages? Done! Creative mode where you can try everything out and test your favourite way to setup your base?!? Definitely! And more! My favourite way to play was against a friend remotely in VR in this cool thematic social space as if we were in the same room and race each other to victory in the Capture the Flag style game mode! I highly recommend this title to everyone! ❤️

A solid step for RTS in MR

I grew up playing up a lot of RTS and tactics games so was excited to get back to those roots a bit. This game scratched that RTS itch for me. It's not super in depth on mechanics or complexity but those core elements of the genre are there and I'm digging it. It also uses the MR component as a part of the gameplay map rather than being just a gimmick wish is an issue I have with MR often. Setting up a base on my desk and getting attacked by enemies from my bookshelf is just a fun time.

A great VR RTS title

Crystal commanders does a very good job at filling that VR RTS shaped hole in the market. The game acts as a perfect entry to the genre with all the staples of the genre (base building,resource finding, defense and attack) without overwhelming newcomers to the genre with too much at the start. But don't let this put off you C+C/Starcraft players. The game features a 3 Act campaign to playthrough as well as multiplayer (currently 3 mode types with another to come in an update) As a VR RTS it plays around with the idea of elevations a lot as well as offering MR modes for those wanting to see the units exploring their real life environment. It is very promising start to an under represented genre in VR. I can't wait to see where the team go when it comes to updates.
