Better than using the website

People are complaining about the lack of 3D movies, but I downloaded the Disney Plus app to watch Disney Plus content, which is what I am doing right now. The app works great and is definitely better than using the website. It even lets you download content for offline use. The fact that people are complaining about such a small thing is completely crazy. I know watching movies in 3D can make them feel more impressive, but they are the same movies at the end of the day, with or without 3D visuals. Also, the app does NOT claim to have 3D content, as the description of the app does not say anything about it. The 3D titles inside the app were added a while after the Vision Pro app released, and it stands to reason that this app will also support 3D content later on. The app does not deserve a bad rating for not having something they never claimed to have in the first place. People need to learn to be patient and not expect more than they are promised.

Allows Downloading

Streaming seems low bit-rate 1080, but download ability is a big plus and quality seems better. Still needs 4K quality for downloads and 3D Disney library (this is a VR app). Viewing environment is good, app worked good. Controllers dim after a few seconds.

Bring 3D movies already

I'll be a little more generous than most reviewers and give this app a 4, it bugs me that if it gets minimized and then resume it's back to the home screen instead of playing the video or pausing it, though would prefer if it kept playing. Other then that can't think of anything else other than no 3D movies available which is the biggest boneheaded mistake Disney and Meta could have made to give the middle finger to millions of quest owns and cater to a couple of ten of thousands of vision pro users. Just give us a timeline of when they'll become available. Treat your customer base a little better. Bring the 3D movies now.

Zero 3D movies. Not one.

No 3D movies at launch is a major disappointment. I didn’t expect the whole catalogue. But I expected 2 or 3. The fact that these headsets have been around for so long and there is NO native way to watch 3D moves on it is completely ridiculous. There used to be like 12 of them on Big Screen, but I don’t think those are there anymore either. I don’t blame Disney. I blame Meta. Sinking millions into freaking metaverse horizon worlds instead of cutting actual deals with actual studios to get actual 3D content onto their 3D devices. It boggles the mind. Even the Avatar Fire and Ash preview is 2D. You can watch the 3D one on freaking YouTube. But not on their own app. “3D capabilities are coming to Disney+ on Meta Quest in the future” Capabilities? We know this is about business monopoly negotiations, not some technical conundrum you’re wrestling with.

3D?

It doesn’t seem to provide 3D titles. But on certain movies, it does show 3D as a supported format in the details page. So I hope it comes soon!
