The core gameplay of Drakheir is pretty fun due to the novelty of casting spells with Naruto hand signs, but it’s not nearly enough to make me recommend this game. I could not tell you what the story of this game is actually supposed to be, as you are dropped into the world with no explained backstory or goals. The whole time I was scrambling for any plot details to be told to me. Not to mention the time loop concept making things more complex. Eventually you just start playing the whole game in reverse with no level design changes, not that the level design is really notable anyways. Also the ending of the game just… happens. Really suddenly it’s just over without any real big finale. Getting back to the core gameplay it’s the one thing that kept me engaged for a bit as it can feel pretty fun, but eventually you notice the total lack of complexity. You can just throw fireballs the whole game and you will not be punished. There is no reason to use most of the spells besides boredom.

This game is officially in my top 3 now. It is absolutely fantastic, from the graphics being really well done for it still being a relatively newer game, to the soundtrack which ranges from calming ambiance to bass phonk boss battle tunes. As far as the gameplay, it's super smooth and really intuitive. There were things I just sort of did without thinking about what I was doing, and every time something cool happened in response. There is really a lot of thought and effort put into this game. 11/10 Highly recommend. Don't listen to any negativity if you are considering trying this game. It brings a whole new aspect of VR capability to the table via hand tracking only for the whole game. It brings back that excitmentni felt from my first time in vr and thinking of all the possibilities for future gaming. This is definitely it, the next step. Now go get in there folks, it's a blast!!!

As promised I have posted my first impressions on my channel realchillgaming on this truly one of a kind vr game I mean rpg full story a good mix of bad guys great voice acting and it's all handtracking need I say more besides this game is Awesome if your a fan of handtracking like I am forgot to change or charge your remotes or just need a new way to play well this may just be the game for you hopes this helps laterz

This game is a lot of fun. I was able to play sitting down in a chair so I could turn to move to the different areas though it may seem more suited for standing, sitting is also an option. Arpgs are a pretty untapped area when it comes to hand tracking at it is nice to have something new and fresh. You can cast various spells by completing the symbols that show up on screen, with any game this comes more easy and natural the more you cast these spells. There are also weapons you can conjur and once unlocked by posing your hands in certain areas. The developers listen and truly engage feedback and continue to polish this title as time goes on. I can't wait to see what else comes from this game. Hand tracking just seems like a natural progression for VR and this is one of the more enjoyable hand tracking experiences that is available on the market. I hope to see more games in this style and would recommend this to anyone who wants to experience casting spells without being tethered to controllers. This is truly a unique experience.

Additionally, the learning curve for mastering the hand signs and movement scheme can be steep, which might deter some players. Overall, Drakheir VR is a groundbreaking experience that sets a new standard for hand-tracking in ARPGs. The immersion and depth of engagement are unparalleled, making it a must-play for VR enthusiasts. Despite its minor flaws, the game's innovative mechanics and rich world earn it a solid 5 out of 5.
