Hidden Fortune is an adventurous treasure hunt through a virtual world of enchantment, with Chapter One: Outcast Cove now free to play! Chapter Two: Shanty Seas is available through single purchase, and unlocks over two hours of new content, including Wands, Orbs, and areas to discover. As a sorcerer on a daring rescue mission, players must use their magic—cast with the Gear VR touchpad or controller—to explore the vivid world around them, and collect peculiar trinkets to aid in their quest.

Cast Your Magic: Tap the Gear VR or swing the Gear VR Controller to cast magic Orbs, capture trinkets, make charming new acquaintances, and solve tricky puzzles.

Enter the Wands: These collectable magic devices enable seamless interaction with the virtual world. Orienting intuitively to your hand’s movements, each Wand has unique art and visual effects.

New Challenges: Each quest in Outcast Cove and Shanty Seas now offers three levels of difficulty to test your wizarding skill.

Almost my favorite game on Oculus Go...

This game is great. When I recently purchased my oculus Go this game was already downloaded onto it so I think it is also free. This game is filled with colorful animations, fun mini games, and pretty good in-game hand tracking + visuals. I enjoyed this a lot and it is easily in my top 3 favorite games on the oculus go, I would say it’s probably worth about 10.00$. The reason I took a star away is: I have been having issues lately trying to complete the story, the wizard guy tells me to return to the blimp to track down that bad goat dude or whatever, but it won’t let me continue from there. I have completed both the caves and shanty seas worlds and have found almost all journal entries. Can someone please tell me how, or if, you can continue from here? 2: And also this game has been out for a few years almost and the new world still says coming soon. Do you guys plan on adding that new location still? PLEASE DO, I really want more content and am willing to pay. Thanks, lightning7765.

Was really surprised by this game

One of the best free games on go. So underrated. Only one problem would be lack of instructions, especially the initial controls

A whimsical delight

Across all types of media and gaming platforms, no genre is as underrepresented as the pirate genre. Which is odd, really. It’s a natural source of entertainment, action, storytelling, and fun. Rarely is it ever boring, and that trend continues here. Hidden Fortune is a swashbuckling good time. It’s not a swordplay epic adventure in the vein of Pirates of the Caribbean, but more of a quest-for-hidden-treasure type of affair with a running narrative. You are some kind of wizard’s apprentice trying to level up with gold and magic while the antagonist, a scruffy billy goat-man, tries to thwart your best efforts. Just writing that sentence sounds bizarre; indeed, the storyline is the weakest aspect of the whole game. It’s confusing and nonsensical but also charmingly goofy, and irrelevant to your enjoyment of the gameplay. There’s two chapters, one free and the other for a few dollars, and both come highly recommended. You set out to complete a series of quests and collect various diary entries, and the story unfolds throughout. Each quest is a set of mini games, many of which share the same basic premise but never get old. Graphically, it’s nothing groundbreaking, although it is an older title developed mainly for the Gear VR, and to be fair, it has a unique art style. It is intentionally cartoonish, and when the characters are on screen, it’s like a pop-up book in VR. It’s a really neat effect, and I found it endearing. The whole thing is pretty immersive despite the lack of realism. It’s a great family game that can be enjoyed by everyone of all ages. I was kind of surprised by how much I got into it, but again, pirate games are often a blast. We need more titles like this, and hopefully someone is taking note.
