Worst game ever

This game is basically soulless you can't even pause the game, no records of matches won, no leaders board no full mix reality it's a freaking portal, no physical interaction with the equipments and bots are so dumb, wrist adjustment is complex, you can't hit the bot with the ball it just basically goes through the bot no updates, you can't even buy stuff, all equipments are default, you can't upgrade your equipments or change your environment, bots are too chunky and no commentary, no net's heights adjustments everything is basically default and no reply on reviews.

LIFE CHANGING FUN!

I let my wife try who never plays with me, and we played for hours. We took it to my sister in laws to play local multiplayer, and her and her fiance bought headsets that day so we can all plat together. PLEASE add MORE SPORTS soon...like valley ball or dodge ball...or more mini golf courses.

Great game, but online is dead.

Home Sports is an ambitious mixed reality sports collection that brings pickleball, hockey, bowling, mini golf, and badminton into your living space with impressive passthrough. The gameplay is intuitive, the visuals are vibrant, and the mechanics feel natural, making it a solid addition to the VR sports genre. However, despite its engaging design, the multiplayer scene is eerily quiet, leaving players with AI opponents rather than real competition. If you're looking for a solo sports experience, it's a great pick—but if you crave online matchups, id play with friends, as the online multiplayer is dead.

The price says it all

I have tried all game modes and am wholly disappointed for the following reasons: (1) No feeling of progression. If I win a match, either online or otherwise, there are no achievements or level system to reward playing. This may not seem significant, but for me it takes away any reason to return playing after trying once. Sure, it was cool, but nothing revolutionary. Also, as a side note, there is a campaign mode but it is very underwhelming. Just teaching you basics then saying you suck, then the next round, you rock - even if your actual performance is opposite. (2) Obvious knock-off of Wii Sports. Right when you load in, the colors, the fonts, the sound effects, the music, etc. is extremely similar to Wii Sports. I feel like this game is trying to rip off a successful title and milk nostalgia, but they failed to capture the true beauty of why Wii Sports was so amazing: Because it was one of a kind in all the best ways. (3) Bot characters don't have voices and generally act a little odd. Not a huge deal, but takes away from the immersion for sure. The grunt and mumble, but that is it. As a side note, they also move in a very strange way, which I personally find annoying. (4) Another huge failure: NO BASEBALL! Wow was this title a swing and a miss. Knock-off hockey which isn't hockey (more like 1v1 goalies with a puck that bounces forever), pickleball which no one in the target audience plays, and so on. (5) Bot difficulty is inconsistent. For badminton, easy is incredibly hard (I played badminton back in school and was quite good), and other times easy is very easy. I have been quite good at sports throughout my life and catch on quick - but something is a little off about many of these. (6) No tension. Somewhat ties in with no progression, but there is nothing in this game that drives me to want to win and be competitive. If I win no one cares and I don't advance in anything, and if I lose it doesn't matter because as it says 'everyone is a winner whether you win or lose.' Onions that makes no sense and is revolting to me personally. There are a couple issues but won't go into them here. I understand this is a fresh title but this is unacceptable. They should have taken time to let it cook instead of desperately getting it out before Christmas. Who Should Buy This: (1) Intro to VR or MR. If you just got a Meta Quest 3/3S this wouldn't be a terrible first title to pick up for the price. Try it out, and return it once you find out how bland it is (Meta has a great return policy). (2) If you are a little kid and like sports. (3) If you want a mixed reality sports game to play with friends IF your friends have a headset. No option to pass the headset around as of yet. (4) If you have all the VR games under the sun 💵🔥 Note to devs: I know this is not a positive review and I did not mean it to be - but I hope you can use the criticisms you get here and in other places and turn this into a great game. I wish you success and will update my review as my concerns are addressed or any significant changes are made in general (assuming I don't return which I might).

This has the potential to be Wii Sports

First let's address the elephant in the room... The fact the Mixed Reality is a portal... Having a setting to make it where you just got the court placed down instead of a portal would be excellent. Add leader boards because people love breaking records. Those are my only issues with the game. Things I like. I love the ability to have these sports within the comfort of my yard (I use my quest 3 at night to avoid UV damage) I love how fluid the motions are and how fun it is to move irl to play the sports. Remove portals and you get 4 stars. We want the courts in our yard/house. Add leader boards as well and you get 5 stars. Simple as that.
