An intersting experiment

It's cool to see the merging of VR and film and what's here is relatively unique though technical limitations and mixed use of VR plus the overall "indie" feel of this project does leave much to be desired here. Really wanted to like this

Ill try not to moan too much but ill just be honest. The look and style of the game is awesome, i instantly felt like i was in some kind of Matrix / Tron themed interactive movie. Apolgies if the actors are game devs, but it came across mostly as very cringy like the straight to dvd movies that cost minimal to make, really doesnt pull you into each scene. The part where i had to stop playing was likw the 6th time in probably less then an hour that i had to put some cubes together with dots on. I dread to think how many more times this mini game comes up but there really needed to be a variety and not just 1, it gets boring very fast when all it is is to move onto the next video to watch. Lastly for people who do purchase this, some kind of tutorial around how you decide the 2 options in the videos would be helpful. The first scene in the room it just popped up some text out of nowhere, i noticed a bar going down with seconds 2 decide, i look up and down at the 2 lines of text and next minute apparently i had chosen an option! I then restarted the scene to figure out what i was supposed to do, (had to watch the whole scene play out again unable to skip to the option / branch) then i realised i was supposed to look left or right. It would make more sense to not have the timer, especially on the first ones, and you look left or right and press trigger to select. Also the audio in the scene where they are doing the presentation was very odd, the voices were coming out the left speaker even though they was stood central / to the right, to the point that i kept looking out the door at first thinkin the person talking was 1 of the people in the corridor. I cant see myself loading it back up so i will most likely refund it shortly. A shame as the idea / concept is a good idea

Experimental in a good way

Behind some cheesy dialogue and an unintuitive mechanic for making choices, Human Within is an enjoyable experience with likable characters and interesting game mechanics. While it doesn’t have much to say about it’s AI driven concept, it offers exciting scenarios and enough diverging paths to make at least one replay worthwhile.

I wanted to love it. At first it was intriguing, to me. The cubes stay the same (just getting harder). Maybe make different puzzles to keep the gamer interested? I don't want to be negative. Graphics amazing but it felt like a DVD, where the words didn't align eith the characters oral movements. It was somewhat cheesy. I need more stimulation, besides blocks. Great concept though!
