Not only can I not get rid of it...
...but it's not even the 3D version — I'm forced to have some age-old piece of historical programming on my headset. It makes me sadder that Meta have a constantly processing thread in the OS that always checks if you've removed these apps and instantly reinstalls them — how self-conscious/centred do you have to be to not let someone have the choice to remove something they might never even use.

I FIXED IT FINALLY!!!!!!
Omg guys, I got it to work…. 1-removed your Instagram account with horizon app on mobile. 2-add your account back on the mobile horizon app, and when you do this (sync it with your Meta account!) 3-once your Instagram is synced with horizon Meta account it should work! I spent soooo long trying to get it to work, and nothing worked at all, But once you remove it IG account and add it back making sure you sync it with your meta account only, it will work EVERYONES REVIEW WAS USELESS AND UNHELPFUL!!! Try the steps I mentioned and like this comment to help others!!!

Won't login
As others have mentioned. I can not login with this app. No trouble logging in with the browser. Was hoping that it would be updated but I've had it installed for several years now, and have never been able to use the app. Complete junk. Edit. Finally was able to log in after performing a factory reset on my device. I had tried removing and then adding the account. Asked me for a lock pattern which I never set up to begin with.

Great for the Horizon systems (3D!)
I don't know why this has such a low score because on the quest systems it is a very good app there is 3D images and 3D videos for all the content that is uploaded by other users and really works well for the quest and horizon systems
