Netflix and chill

I actually wasn’t expecting much from this port of Netflix. I did expect it to look like it does on psvr, I was pleasantly surprised by being whisked away into a snowy cabin on a bright red couch with a 200 inch tv in front of me. The image is clear and the display on the quest definitely impressed me. When you choose a title to watch the lights in the virtual room you’re in dim at the same time and lends an amazing atmosphere to the whole experience. Very well done Netflix.

Ok but needs improvements

The app works fine and I like the two options for viewing. In the room on a couch and the floating void theater. This needs two things to get 5 stars: 1. Increase the resolution. It’s visibly worse experience than watching on a tv. 2. Allow the option to have a black background in the void theater. The gray color is incredibly distracting. -downloads would be a nice bonus.

Mean app (in the mathematical sense)

You can watch Netflix vids, on your own, in one mediocre space, on one mediocre screen. You cannot download videos to watch offline. You cannot change your virtual space. You cannot watch 3d or vr content. You might as well just watch the content without a 1 kilo beast strapped to your face.

Only 480p

Its 2021 and one of the largest companys in the world netflix and the Netflix app on oculus is only capable of streaming its content at 480p. Completely unacceptable especially when theres those of us paying $18/month for 4k streaming. At least give us 1080p on the oculus like other streaming services. very dispointed in netflix. terrible quality.

As soon as I open the app I can’t use my controllers and my eyes act as my mouse sort of, so I can’t do anything. And when I try to exit by pressing the meta button, my universal menu doesn’t show up. So I am basically stuck in the app forever, which really sucks. I feel like I’ve tried everything. I tried turning my headset off and back on and trying to see if that would reset it and put me back in my home area. Nothing. I looked up online how to fix it. Nothing. I tried launching another game from the app. Nothing. Now I am unable to play anything else and my headset is basically broken.To this day I am still stuck in the Netflix app and I could not be more frustrated, confused, and disappointed in this app. Well done Netflix. :(
