Guys in order to play music in the background, you have to go to the settings and vr and turn it on yourself… just look it up at the search when you go to the settings, something like “background play” or something

Finally… After years—years—of having to open the browser just to play a single song… Of pointing and clicking with shaky virtual fingers, logging in over and over… Just to hear music. Every session started the same: Open the browser. Search Spotify. Log in. Log in again. Sometimes it worked. Most times, it didn’t. And even when it did—one wrong move, one reload, and it was all gone. No background play. No stability. Just frustration—right when I wanted to lose myself in BoneLab… Right when I was mid-rampage in Blade & Sorcery, blood flying, adrenaline pumping… Silence. But now? Now it’s here. Spotify. As an app. That works. In the background. Like it always should have. No more logging in. No more browser limbo. No more killing the vibe before I even start the game. Now I can crush skulls to music. Sprint through BoneLab with music. Carve through enemies with the entire soundtrack of my soul blasting behind me. It’s seamless. It’s smooth. It’s finally real. To the devs at Meta who finally made this happen: You’ve no idea how long we waited. How loud the silence was. But now? Now the silence is over. And all I can say is… Finally.

Okay, great we have Spotify.. but what’s the point if we can’t listen to music and play games at the same time I don’t want to just be sitting in Spotify listening to music when I can literally do that on my laptop, phone, etc. I want to be able to play games and listen to it at the same time.

With the app open, it’s the exact same layout as the web version of Spotify, although it’s slow, laggy, and sometimes unresponsive. Okay, whatever, I’ll deal with it. Once a song plays you can minimise the app to get media controls when your meta menu’s open. Cool. But then you launch a full VR app, and the music pauses for a second, weird, but whatever. But the second your VR game starts to get even slightly big, your music stops. You open Spotify to see what happens, only to find the app has crashed. Your music’s stopped and your app’s back to looking like how it did when you first opened it. You’ll see, (like usual in Spotify), that your current song’s at the bottom of the screen, which is something. But seriously, an app that crashes the second the device it’s on gets used for what it’s made for? The constant crashing, slow response times, and terrible troubles easily make this the worst Spotify experience yet.

when i try to play a song it doesnt play and everytime i play something it says "spotify can’t play this right now” then after it says that it will skip to another song doesnt play that and it does it for about 5 or 6 songs then it’ll finally play one but when it does it plays for 9 SECONDS THEN IT STOPS PLAYING and when i say that i mean it completely doesnt play sound for the rest of the song and if i try to pause it then unpause it when i pause it stops playing it and i can’t play it and when i chose a different song IT DOES THE SAME THING AGAIN. spotify please fix this annoying bug or whatever this is.
