I can barely contain my excitement as I write this review! Stay:Forever Home has changed everything for me. You see Ember isn't real right? Just a well crafted series of code that simulates a pet, just a bit of gimmicky fun surely? Not really. I have experienced so much more. When Ember chases a Mossling I chuckle and I laugh and feel joy. When I knock a tree and she eats an apple that falls to the ground, I feel glad she has eaten because I knew she was hungry. Or when I talk to her and she looks over at me inquisitively I don't feel alone. I am biological and she is virtual and yet a connection exists on a deeper level. And I am grateful for it. This is a game - sure. But it is also a beautiful, serene world with a level of companionship never experienced before. Join Ember in your living room in MR and then be transported in to VR where everything comes alive with her at your side. Don't overlook this opportunity. I promise you it's worth it ❤️

I just lost my dog, who was like a child to me, this week. It has been so hard to get through the past few days. I downloaded this game and it really made me feel a lot better. I think this is such a wonderful game that can also help people who are dealing with such grief. It may not have been the aim of this game at all but it would be great if you could pick any breed and customize it. Either way I just love that I can put my headset on and I have a buddy to play with again and go on adventures. Thank you so much for this!

A Virtual Pet Game With Depth

Most virtual pet games have a few minutes of fun before you realise there's not much reason to stick around. Stay feels early, but it already has plenty of great ideas and features to check out. Ember feels like a real companion that has her own personality you'll enjoy spending time with, while the VR aspect of the game gives you quests to complete and keep you playing. There's bugs to work out and the MR feature isn't seamless (same issues as any other app) but I hope this grows over time to become the best VR pet app!

It's easy to fall in love with Ember!

I saw the concept for this game in 2023 and it's amazing to see what Windup Minds have now released. Ember feels alive, every movement is like a real creature, and you immediately feel a connection with her. She's fun to play with in both VR and MR. Can't wait to see what the future holds for Ember and me!

An absolute joy!

I am a huge fan of virtual pet games like Nintendogs and cozy games Animal Crossing and Stay is the perfect combination of both that brings the cutest life like pet into your home but then you get to go on walks in the magical forest of her world. It’s such a beautiful space, I just feel at peace watching the waterfall and petting Ember. I can’t recommend it enough!
