A unique game in VR for sure! Having the real Les Stroud guide you along while trying to survive is beyond awesome! He speaks in your ear and even pops up from time to time as you are going through scenarios to give you tips on how to stay alive. You learn actual survival techniques that could help in real life. The goal is to stay alive in order to be rescued, which can prove to be a bit challenging at times. You gather supplies to craft items and perform tasks. There is a health monitor on your wrist that keeps track of your temperature and energy to help you keep your body regulated. Graphics are not over the top but the sound effects are super realistic. I love the sound of the crunching snow and crackling fire. I find playing with smooth rather teleport is more enjoyable in this game and it hasn't caused me any sickness. Teleport distance is short, probably in order to track burning calories with every step. I'm really glad I added this game to my library and can't wait to play more!

I had never heard of Les Stroud or Survivorman. Not on UK TV, but I will check for episodes on Prime Video or Netflix. I love this game. The scenery is great, and the tasks are challenging but not impossible. I died a few times, especially on the fast descent down the mountain, trying to steer with a pole, but I made it eventually. I got through the rest of the challenges and got rescued. I would have liked a couple more scenes to play, but I guess I'll just have to wait for the next Survivorman game to come out. Hopefully there will be one soon!

So...my first thought after playing is - that's as close as I'd like to ever get to experiencing a plane crash 🙃 After the initial shock wears off, you quickly start to access the situation. Luckily, Les Stroud shows up to give you some help, which was kind of exciting because I'm a fan of the show. It's nice to have him talking in your ear helping you along the way. 🥰 You'll have to monitor your body temperature, figure out a way to find food, craft necessities, build a fire AND it burning and most importantly - STAY ALIVE! I highly recommend this game! You can thank me later 🩷

When I bought this game I thought it was going to be one of those open world survival games, it wasn’t.. when I saw the video it looked like you basically had to hunt, craft, and kill to survive. I was pretty disappointed when i got help with almost everything I did. And the game is extremely short.. it only has six extremely short levels, however the gameplay is fun on the boat ride that’s about it. When I got it I also had no idea it was going to be a learning experience kinda makes it worse especially when the game is 20 dollars pretty expensive for a low quality game in my opinion. That’s all for now. Hope the developers see this

This game stands out as a remarkable adaptation of a television show into an interactive, immersive experience. For those of you who are not familiar with the Les Stroud "Survivorman" series, it was the original self-shot survivalist TV show. He pioneerd the survival genre. This game captures the narrative of one of Les's episodes. You are transported into the experience of surviving a crash in the towering mountains of an arctic environment. Unlike the shows where Les was alone, in this game, Les is your guide. He gives you survival tips and guidance to keep you on the right path. Like any TV show, this experience is relatively linear, so if you're in search of an expansive open-world sandbox AAA survival game with extensive onboarding and considerable grinding, this may not meet your expectations. However, if you're interested in an informative, entertaining, challenging and a thrilling adventure for a few hours, this could be your jam. The true challenge lies in completing the game without dying, a goal I'm still striving to achieve. It’s a survival game after all! It's exciting to see independent studios continue to push the boundaries of VR, I'm looking forward to the next episode!
