A Charming Start with Room to Grow
I just finished the first ten levels of Tiny Tandem. It’s a fun little game where you guide two characters through increasingly complex puzzles. Nothing too difficult, but it does require some coordination. It reminded me a lot of guiding Quill around in Moss—if you’ve played that. (In my case, often with the same results, thankfully these little characters politely reappear after I accidentally send them off a cliff.) So far, most of the levels involve guiding one character at a time through the path. I’m hoping future levels make more use of the two-character mechanic, where one character has to activate something or reach a certain point to let the other pass. I’d enjoy a bit more of a puzzle challenge rather than relying mostly on hand-eye coordination. The mixed reality implementation was fun. My dog was sitting nearby, and I kept noticing him looking where I was looking, clearly wondering what had my attention while seeing none of the tiny people wandering around my room. Overall, it’s a cute little game, and I’m looking forward to seeing where the developers take it.
